The Commander of Your Faith

Jesus is establishing our assignment and He is confirming that we are to teach faithfully what He's already commanded us.
Kevin Zadai

Now go in my authority and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And teach them to faithfully follow all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.”
—Matthew 28:19-20 TPT

DISCUSSION:
Jesus is the commander and the author and finisher of your faith. The commander of your faith is giving you instructions to guide you. God is speaking in a loving, kind voice, encouraging you into good works. It's the goodness of God that leads us into repentance. He is not judging you. He says to judge yourself, so you’re not judged with the world. If He is your commander, and He's over you, then you’re going to want to listen when He's talking. When He says something, it’s for a purpose, and it may have to do with the details He’s intricately working out inside you. He is determined to help us so that we will have unity with Him and with others.

In John 14-17, He talks about us reaching the point of unity with the Father, unity with the Trinity, and being unified in love with one another. God loves us just like He loves Jesus. He prays for us that we are perfected in love, unity, and in glory.

Jesus establishes our assignment, and He is confirming that we are to teach what He's already commanded us. That command has already been given to make disciples of all nations, teaching people to follow all that Jesus has commanded us to do. His command was to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Then He says, never forget that I am with you every day. When He left to go to the right hand of the Father, He sent His Holy Spirit to be with us. He's working on every detail of our lives and telling us to follow Him and do the things that He told us to do.

o How does following God’s instruction help to unify us to Him and the body of Christ? Why is it essential to live in unification with the Trinity and be unified in love with people? Do you feel connected to God? To His people? Why/ Why not?

1 Peter 1:7 KJV: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

The trial of our faith is more precious than gold. What we say and do during a trial is key. Jesus only said what His Father said and only did what His Father did. When the trial of our faith comes, we want to think and choose wisely the words we say because it brings us to the other side of the trial. It makes the angels happy when we choose the right words because they’re always in agreement with Heaven.

GOD’S PLAN OF ETERNITY
God has initiated everything from the beginning, and He made man in His own image. He had Heaven but made this world for us. He made the earth, and then He put man on it. When He created man and woman, it was for us. Even though we fell in the garden, He still reached out to us through Jesus Christ. God’s plan started long before we were even known and born, and it’s much bigger than us. We can't wrap our minds around it. We have to trust Him because we might not understand everything about our life. We have to accept that we're an integral part of this big plan. Even though we had no control over anything that came before us, we can't worry about what we’re apart of now or what's to come because it's much bigger. We're just a small part of this, but God has us covered. When the Lord showed me eternity, there were no words to describe it. He made a mark through eternity that was the size of a hairbreadth. It was like a hair or a thin line set on a timeline that stretched out forever. Our whole existence was nothing compared to eternity, so set your heart at ease that the God of the universe has you. Jesus said, Don’t worry about tomorrow; it will take care of itself. He is your provider.

PRAYER:
Father, I thank you so much for all our friends all over the world at Warrior Fellowships. And I thank you, Holy Spirit, that you’ve ministered to all of us this week, and I thank you that you’re giving us the strength to go forth and that we have someone who is in authority named Jesus Christ over our faith and that He is seeing every detail of our life being come to pass. He’s watching over our faith. It’s a gift. You’ve given us the gift of faith. And I thank you, Father, that each one of us has a measure of faith. Thank you. You’re going to take care of us, Lord, and we just want to verbalize that we trust you. And that we’re going to lay our lives in your hands.
And I thank you for that faithfulness.

Thank you, Lord, for ministering to people all over the world, all our family and all your family, Father, all over the world. And I thank you, Jesus, that you’re going to prove yourself faithful to your people. And thank you for the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name.
