Fellowship Project: Blog Posting

After you watch the video and read the study notes below, answer these questions here:

Discuss:

1. How do we respond to the enemy according to what we’ve learned in James 4:7?

2. Discuss: James 4:7, Psalms 44:5, and Luke 10:19.

3. Talk about how Jesus would speak, and it wasn’t always with Dunamis power or any physical manifestation, but the person got healed, and sometimes it wasn’t immediate but within the hour. It was by His authority

4. Discuss: Jesus spoke by His spirit to me, and it came to pass. I didn’t have to fast or pray. I just came in agreement with it and spoke it out.

5. Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.

 Shocking The Devil Part 1

If you get under authority, then you can act and walk in great authority.”
~Kevin Zadai

Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
1 Peter 5:9 NKJV

DISCUSSION:
One of my favorite subjects is surprising the devil and turning on him. I saw in the Spirit the time I spent with Jesus when He would appear to me and teach me; the devil doesn’t expect Christians to respond correctly. He thinks they’re going to cower and be submissive. It startled me when this was shown to me years ago.
Evil spirits, when they come to you, expect people to respond to them, and they do not like it when people do not respond. They expect everyone to kind of conform. And so they train people through cycles to get into a response mode.

We talk about this a lot in our conferences about rejection mode and how they get you programmed to be in rejection mode. There’s a cycle that happens, and I have teachings on that.

I want to emphasize that God has given us a way out of this mode, this cycle. It’s the fact that satan doesn’t like to be rejected because he was rejected by God. The point of this lesson is to get into the mindset that evil spirits expect you to listen to or respond to them. If you don’t respond, they get uptight, and you’ll see things; manifestations happen when you don’t respond correctly. They know that the spirit of God has become very strong, and your character has become very strong if you’re resisting.

James 4:7 NLT:
So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

• God has given us a way out of every situation concerning the devil.

• Resist yourself against these tactics of the evil spirits.

• You have to humble yourself and submit to God.

• First, you have to be in a state of humility, knowing that God is your source and strength.

• After you submit to God, you resist the devil and push him back.

I was shown this many times since I was a Christian at 19 years old, that I was not doing it in proper order. I had to humble myself and submit to God first. If you get under authority, you can act and walk in great authority. Remember to do that, stay humble, and do a self-check.

I do this all the time to see what I’m doing, what motives I have, and the things that I’m doing. Why am I doing that to see if I’m trying to promote myself versus promoting other people or the Lord and putting others above myself? That includes the Lord; then, from there, I push back against the devil. The idea here is that evil spirits don’t expect you to push back. They don’t expect you to respond. When you push back, respond, and resist them, it’s the same idea as a kid taking a two-by-four and whacking the devil over the head with it. He doesn’t expect Christians to do that because we’ve been taught to be passive, submissive, and kind of like a doormat.

That’s not what Jesus was talking about at all. He was showing us that we are to be innocent as a dove but as shrewd as a snake. A snake always comes up to protect himself. He always comes up to be in that place where he could defend himself in any situation but be innocent as a dove. Remember that God doesn’t ask us to roll over and let the devil have his way with us. That is not what Jesus said when he said we’re going to trample on serpents and scorpions and have power over all the enemy.

POWER OVER THE ENEMY

Psalms 44:5 NLT:
Only by your power can we push back our enemies; only in your name can we trample our foes.

• The Psalmist claims that it’s not by his power or his ability to wage war.

• God’s enemies are also your enemies, and God is going to work with you.

• Only in His name can we trample our foes.

• We need you to use the name of Jesus as much as possible.

Luke 10:19 KJV:
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

James 4:7, Psalms 44:5, and Luke 10:19 have emphasized that this all has to do with submission under authority so that we have great authority. It’s not the idea that we have Dunamis power. It’s not that explosive power that blows up things. This idea of authority, in Greek, is the word for authority. It’s not the same as Dunamis.

It’s another Greek word, exousia, which is the word for authority. You can have authority, great authority, and not be physically strong or be in any way powerful in the flesh.

A lot of times, you don’t have to push yourself physically if you have the proper representation behind you. It’s building yourself up in understanding and faith, then acting under the authority of God. You are like an ambassador, so you represent God.

Evil spirits know this. They can sense this. I’ve observed these many times, and maybe you have, too, with people and animals. Even animals know if you mean business or not. People, after you’ve established your authority, listen, respect you, and honor you because you become a leader. If they don’t feel that you have that authority behind you, they might want to test that.

You have to get out of the mindset that it’s all about this explosive power that’s manifest by the Spirit of God like it was on the day of Pentecost when there was a mighty rushing wind, and flames of fire and people were prophesying. There were manifestations, but the Holy Spirit doesn’t always have to manifest Himself that way. Sometimes it’s just that you say something by the spirit, and evil spirits, know that, and they leave. They leave not because you’re powerful in the flesh. It’s because you have authority. It had to do with Jesus imparting that to the disciples and then imparting it to us.
The idea that I wanted to transfer to you in this session, and (you can talk about this), is that it’s not always a manifestation of power like Dunamis or dynamite power, where something happens and things move; you hear something, you feel something. Sometimes Jesus would speak, and there was no physical manifestation. Sometimes He would lay hands on people, and it says that very hour that person was healed or the evil spirit didn’t leave right away when he would address the evil spirit. But then it did leave. It eventually left.

There probably weren’t earth-shaking things happening all the time. When Jesus was ministering, it says that He was able to, by a word, tell evil spirits to leave. I got out of the mindset that it always has to be something physical or a physical manifestation. When you pray, your prayers are effective, not because you yell and scream or because you used a flag to wave, or if you took communion or didn’t take communion. These things could help, but you don’t need to have that physical manifestation of something to have the result. In other words, prayer could be you addressing something, asking in faith, and then just knowing that you’ve received it and going on about your day. You might not fast; you might not even have to do anything else except just believe. Then something happens in the Spirit, which might take a couple of hours or days, but you know that when you prayed, you received. That is what I wanted to leave with you and talk about. We always think we got to do something, and then we also think we always have to see something, but when Jesus spoke, He had authority.

It wasn’t always just this earth-shaking, rumbling power that we were looking for. Sometimes I know that we like when that happens, but some of the most profound things that have ever happened to me were Jesus speaking by His Spirit to my heart and telling me something, then it just comes to pass. It was so simple. I didn’t have to do a thing, I didn’t have to fast, I didn’t have to pray, the Lord just imparted to me a word, and I agreed with it and spoke it out, and that was it.

Talk about these things and the Scriptures, and I will pray for you. I’m going to release to you the impartation of the Spirit to receive this understanding. I want you all to walk in this authority all over the world, all of you, as you meet. We can agree in prayer, we can speak things out, and we can see things move. The devils do not expect us to respond in this aggressive manner. After we have submitted to God, we should be very aggressive against Him and do something that will cause them to be shocked in the Spirit.

PRAYER:
Father, I thank You so much for your Spirit. Thank You so much for all our warriors all over the earth, Lord God. Thank You so much for every encounter that You give them, every word that You give them. I also thank You, Lord, by the name of Jesus, that we have authority. As we submit to the Father and we humble ourselves before Almighty God, that He is going to give us the impartation of authority, which may be a word, it may be an agreement in prayer, but Lord, we are going to resist the devil, and it’s going to shock him. These devils are going to be shocked that we are going to push him back because we’ve submitted to God. Lord, we thank You for all our friends all over the world. I just take authority over every evil spirit that is hindering the body of Christ all over the earth. I thank you, Holy Spirit, that you’re rising up big inside every single family member right now all over the earth and that we are taking our authority in the name of Jesus. Amen.
