Talk about what you are doing to keep yourself in the faith and to keep walking in the Spirit daily as you wait for God to move and manifest in your life with these promises. Talk about how you might be making it hard on yourself by not being diligent in prayer or meditating on the word of God.
1. Discuss how the word of God produces fruit when you hear and speak it and how it causes a reverberation or vibration in the Spirit.
2. Talk about how when Jesus came to the earth, it caused people to behold Him and see God on display through Him, and how we display Jesus through us.
3. Talk about how when God spoke His word, each thing was created. At His word.
4. Talk about 1 Peter 2:9, Psalm 33:6, and Hebrews 11:3.
5. What will you birth from your own lips? It will happen inside of you, but God will cause you to speak to your mountains.
6. Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23
DISCUSSION:
We get affected by hearing the Word of God. In the Spirit, things happen when God's word is being spoken. There’s a parallel world, and it’s profound what is happening in that realm all the time. We have talked many times about not looking for the manifestation. We expect a manifestation, but we don't look for a manifestation because God is the one that provides manifestation. We are to believe; we are to speak.
When I'm around people, and I noticed this at work, and we'll talk about this during this fellowship, but when I was at work, I could sense when I encountered someone, I could sense that they were a Christian. I knew it. I would look in their eyes and then feel God's Spirit. Sure enough, it was 100% of the time when I felt that the Lord was telling me that this person was a believer. It was because something spiritually was happening around that person, and I could sense it. I could feel that the Word of God was working inside that person. There was a presence there, and you could see it in their eye
It's all about the Spirit of God. It's all about the word of God. And the effects of that can be felt. You should be able to, through developing your spirit and discernment, be able to sense these things and sense when God is telling you to do something, but also when you're in the presence of another believer to operate on that level with them and encourage them because that's what we're supposed to be doing anyway.
Romans 15:4 NLT:
Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.
• Here this scripture is encouraging us that while we're waiting on God to manifest, we should be reading the Scriptures and rehearsing them to help us along the way until we see the manifestation.
• It’s something that many believers need to begin doing.
Talk about what you are doing to keep yourself in the faith and to keep walking in the Spirit daily as you wait for God to move and manifest in your life with these promises. Talk about how you might be making it hard on yourself by not being diligent in prayer or meditating on the word of God.
There are many things that God promised me, one of them took forty years, and one of them took forty-three years. There are all kinds of things happening in the Spirit, in each one of us, that it feels like a delay. It feels like things are not happening. You have to encourage yourself by reading scriptures and gleaning from the spiritual food that you need. These things were written long ago, it says, and they were to teach us, but also to bring us hope and encouragement until we see their fulfillment. Talk about how you may be making it hard on yourself. because I certainly have done this. I have neglected diligence in these areas of prayer and meditation of the Word of God and speaking the Word of God. The Holy Spirit has brought it to my attention because I was asking, “Why is this difficult? Why are these things going on?”
I realized that I had backed off this daily thing that I would do. Most of the time I was diligent, but there are times we all get into this, and so this is the word for this week. I want to encourage you to talk about this. What can you do? Have you backed off of some of these things? You need to search the Scriptures and let them teach you, but also you need to let them encourage you.
PLANS TO GIVE YOU A FUTURE AND HOPE
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT:
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
• God knows His plans that He has for you.
• You might not know them, but He does.
• He says they are plans for good and not for disaster.
• He doesn't have any plans to destroy you or hurt you or make you sick in any way, just like He says here; “To give you a future and a hope.”
• If this is the case, and this was actually written and given to us by Jeremiah. Jeremiah prophesied this to Israel.
Daniel, who is another prophet, was actually reading Jeremiah in his book. He says that he was reading the scroll Jeremiah, and he was literally quoting this chapter 29, and he saw that his people who were in captivity in Babylon were to be delivered. So, this whole chapter 29, where this verse comes from, was written out of the fact that God never intended for this to happen and that He was going to deliver him if they would pray and call out to Him and repent. So they did, and Daniel was shown, taken up, and shown the future. The angels came and ministered to him and showed him the future.
Look at what happened in 70 A.D. after this word was spoken to Daniel, which was just a couple of hundred years before Jesus came. Then we have Jesus coming, and Jerusalem is destroyed. See, this was not God's perfect will, and this happened because of their neglect.
