The Spirit of God Wants To Reveal Himself To You

DISCUSSION:
The Spirit wants to come in and help you in every way, but one of the things that we lose the emphasis on is that we are in need. We are constantly surviving. We have to get out of that mentality. The only way to do that is to show yourself friendly and show yourself to the Holy Spirit as one who wants to be a friend. The Holy Spirit will start to reveal Himself to you and cause you to understand how the things of the Spirit work, and this will put you over and give you an edge against the enemy.

You've got to have an edge against the enemy. The only way that you can do that is to deal with him spiritually. The Holy Spirit is the master of his realm, which is the spirit realm.

The Holy Spirit is the expert, the one that you need to be friends with but make yourself friendly. How I do it is I treat Him just like He is. He is a person, and He is part of the Trinity. I'm going to love and respect Him, and I'm going to ask Him for help all the time. The Lord wants to reveal Himself to us, but it's by the Spirit. The Spirit Himself has been given, and that's the one we have right now on the earth. I mean, Jesus and the Father are in Heaven, and the Spirit is here on the earth with us.

1 Corinthians 2:10 NLT:
But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.

I know that over the years, in the 43 years at the time of this Warrior Fellowship, I've been walking with the Lord. I think about when the Holy Spirit came into my life and when I got born again. I was shocked that I had lived 19 years and didn't know that I needed to be born again of the Spirit of God. I was so shocked that I'd been to church several times a week. All my life I was tithing, donating of my time, cleaning the church, and cutting the grass at the church. It's just profound what I was doing, yet I did understand that salvation wasn't all these good works. When I found out that the Spirit of God is the one who gives you salvation by causing you to be born again then the revelation started coming, and it gifts of the Spirit started to manifest.

Then, I got baptized in the Holy Spirit, which is a separate encounter, according to scripture. In the book of Acts, people that were saved by believing in Jesus were born again. Then when they were asked, have you received the Holy Spirit? They said we didn't even know that there was a Holy Spirit. They were explained that and then they received the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues right off the bat. It had not been explained to them that they needed to speak in tongues. They said that you need to receive the Holy Spirit after the born-again experience.

I received that, and then the revelation and the gifts of Spirit just started to flow. I remembered thinking to myself, “what have I been doing?” Yet I was really thankful that, yes, for the first 19 years of my life, 18 years of my life, I didn't really have a clue. I was thankful that at a very young age I was able to come into the Spirit of God and the salvation of Jesus Christ and understand these things. It was a shock to me that people spend a lot of time in church, they do a lot of good things for others, and they do things for God, yet they don't know that the Spirit of God is the one who has been given to help us and cause us to be re-created as new creations in Christ.

The thing that you need to start to look at in your own life is that, yes, maybe you've had what I call bumper car faith, where you just run into something, you're bumping into things, and then you find out something about God or something about the Spirit of God or something about yourself, but there is an intention in the realms of God, in the realms of the Spirit. There's an intention, there are strategies, and there are ways of doing things. God wants you to be on track, and there are things right there for you. You don't have to think about the past and think about wasting time. No matter what age you are or where you're at in life, we can just right now have a total reset and get things right, and then allow the Spirit from now on to reveal Himself. He wants to be your friend. He wants to help you discover who you are and what the plan of God is for your life. He shows us deep secrets that would not have been there, would not have been revealed if it wasn't for Him showing you. These deep secrets were always there, but I didn't see them.

To me, they weren't there. So they wouldn't have been able to come to my understanding if it wasn't for Him. And yet I wasn't introduced to Him properly in church. So be aware of this, that just because you go to church, your church may not even believe in these things that are in the Bible. And I was shocked at how many churches don't preach the right thing.

That's why we're doing these fellowships and these Bible studies every week, so at least you can get something because I feel the burden and really the loss for what the churches I went to didn't show me, and it wasn't until later on in life that I found places that do believe and teach like this. We have Warrior Fellowships just to help all of you to at least get some understanding and maybe increase your spiritual sensitivity and the temperature and your understanding of Jesus Christ. So, you can receive these things by the Spirit. He has secrets that you don't even know about, but He can tell you, and then He can show you, and then you can start to participate in that knowledge which is going to cause manifestation. That’s what it's all about. It's really about the fact that God's word became flesh and dwelt among us and Jesus was a manifestation of the Father.

UNVEILING THE TRUTH

John 16:13 TPT:

but when the truth-giving Spirit comes, he will unveil the reality of every truth within you. He won't speak his own message, but only what he hears from the Father, and he will reveal prophetically to you what is to come.

• Jesus is saying when the Spirit comes is going to unveil the reality of everything that I'm talking about.

• He's going to reveal the truth that's within you. It's literally already in you.

• If you're born again and a believer, all these things are already in you.

• He's given us these precious promises, and we can be partakers of the divine nature.

• It literally says that all these good things are already within us and that the Spirit of God is going to reveal them to us. So you need to ask the Holy Spirit to unfold or unveil these things to you.

• Every one of us can be effective.

• It doesn't just have to be certain people.

I'm coming to you and talking to you, and we're doing all these things at Warrior Notes. The only reason that I'm doing this is that it was unveiled to me that the Spirit showed me my value, and my worth, and told me that the limits have been taken off and no one has ever spoken to me like that. We need to be given permission sometimes so that we can operate at a higher level. That's essentially what this Warrior Fellowship is giving you right now, is that when the Spirit of God unveils things to you that are within you.  It's a matter of you receiving it because there's no more time and distance if He's inside of you.

• He's opening this up to you.

• He's not going to speak His own message. Jesus said, “But He's going to only speak what the Father is saying.”

• He's going to reveal what Jesus had spoken.

• He's going to remind us of those things.

• He's also going to speak prophetically about things to come.

• He's going to give us guidance and intuition.

Now, there are a lot of things that have been shown to us that when we pray against these bad things, they don't come. God can prophetically show you that, listen, this is the trend, if you don't do anything about it, this is what's going to happen. If you pray and ask for it to be changed or stopped, it will be done because whatever you bind is going to be bound. Whatever you permit is going to be permitted. That's why we should always pray. We should always agree. We should always let the Holy Spirit reveal the things that are secret, and He can do that. Some of these things that He reveals are bad things because that's the trend, but it doesn't have to be that way. We can change those things. We shouldn't be discouraged when the Spirit shows us that and gives us a prompting that something bad is coming because there are two ways to do this. You could just take that as, “Okay, this is what's going to happen, I'm going to get ready for it and do nothing except get ready for it,” or you could change it. You can say, “No, we're not going to have that. I bind that. I'm going to come against that, and then it doesn't happen.” That happens 80% of the time with me. Like the Lord shows me, okay, here's what's going to happen. If it's left undone, I'm going to pray against it. I'm going to change it.

Then at times, with food shortages and things like that, where He's shown us ahead of time, then we've also taken precautions and actually had provisions that we have to give to other people. We've been taught to also balance it out with having extra to give other people, but then praying against these things and stopping them as well. You can stop natural disasters; you can pray against them, you can pray against storms, you can pray. Jesus did. He taught us how to use authority. All these things are for our benefit, but the Lord reveals Himself also through the spirit. It's not just the operation of the Spirit for others out there and changing things in prayer, sometimes the Holy Spirit will show you something about the Father, and this has been profound because He's shown me in His word, the things that God likes. We have to learn how to like the things that God likes and to hate the things that God hates.

PRAYER:

Father, I thank You for the anointing and the power, and I thank You, Lord God, that You've given us all this anointing and power through the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, and that He is still with us, that He is the revealer of Your will. He's the revealer of You as a person. Father, I just ask that we get to know the Holy Spirit in a greater way, and with that, we also understand and know the operation of the Spirit of God in the name of Jesus Amen.

1. Discuss how the Spirit of God can reveal things concerning yourself, your friends, your family, and the time you live in today.

2. Discuss how you have to be willing to pray against the things you know you can change. You can speak to mountains, and they'll be removed. 

3. Talk about how the Holy Spirit is the one who reveals the Father to us, and He wants to show Himself to us and help us understand the Spirit of God.

4. Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.
