Discuss:

o How does the Holy Spirit bring the words of Jesus to remembrance?

1. According to this study of John 14:26, how does the Holy Spirit help you to hear God's voice?

2. Discuss the difference between God's truth versus facts or observation. How does the Holy Spirit lead us into God's truth, according to John 15:26?

3. God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit all flow together in perfect unity, honoring each other's authority. Why is it important to understand that the Holy Spirit and Jesus only speak words from the Father? How does that impact how to minister to others?

4. John 16:13 describes the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of reality. How does He help us to experience the reality of God's kingdom?

5. Discuss how the Spirit of truth speaks to us prophetically concerning the future. How do we remain in faith when the facts in our life seem to be opposite from God's truth?

The Holy Spirit is the Key in This Life

The Holy Spirit will bring forth truth, which is higher than facts or observation.
~Kevin Zadai

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
John 14:26

DISCUSSION:
And this week, I want to talk to you about the Holy Spirit. We must focus on what's important in these days that we live in, and that is how much we need the Holy Spirit. He is the One that's been given to us here on earth; Jesus and the Father are enthroned in Heaven.
When I was in Heaven, I saw the Father and the Son sitting there being worshiped.

The angels and the saints that have all lived in ages past were all there. The Holy Spirit is inside of us here on earth. We need to focus on the fact that He has given us the power and abilities to live our life out, and we need Him. So the Holy Spirit is our key in this life.

THE HOLY SPIRIT HELPS US UNDERSTAND GOD'S WORD
The Holy Spirit is the One Who lifts the words off the pages of the Bible and makes them real to us. He is the One Who reveals truth. Before I was born again, I read the Bible quite a bit because I went to church twice a week. So until I was 19, I would read the Bible all the time but couldn't understand. It was very frustrating. I couldn't grasp things. I would focus on the Old Testament because it was full of stories, which I could understand better. The New Testament, on the other hand, was difficult to understand. When the Holy Spirit came into my life, it was as if blinders were removed, and I could understand the Word. It has been that way for the 43 years that I've walked with God; the Holy Spirit has helped and taught me.

The Holy Spirit is everything to us. I want to discuss three different scriptures from the gospel of John. First, John 14:26 says the Helper, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in Jesus' name, will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all the things He said to you. After Jesus returned to the Father, the Holy Spirit was sent on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). He has been given to us. The key is that it says He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all the things that Jesus said. In other words, the Holy Spirit will actually make you understand the Word of God. Not only will He help you, but He will also bring what was taught back to mind.

THE HOLY SPIRIT REMINDS US OF JESUS' WORDS
Often, Holy Spirit speaks to me, reminding me of words that Jesus said. Quotes from Jesus come up in my heart as though He is talking to me. I hear the voice of God saying what He already spoke in the Bible, as though Jesus is speaking to me directly. In other words, one aspect of hearing from God is listening to the voice of Jesus through the Scripture, as quoted. That's exactly what Jesus said would take place; the Holy Spirit will bring the truth of God's word to remembrance. You will hear Jesus speaking His words to you through Scripture, which is the voice of God.

It's wise to take time to read the Bible because it is God speaking His Word to you.

The Holy Spirit wants to bring those words to your remembrance, so it's a good practice to wait on God in this manner. I have experienced the voice of God in a greater way through this process. God can speak to me about specific things that aren't necessarily a quote from the Bible; He can guide me because I have trained myself to hear His voice.

o How does the Holy Spirit bring the words of Jesus to remembrance?

The framework for hearing God's voice can be reading the Bible and letting the Holy Spirit bring the Word back to you at different times, which gets you accustomed to how God speaks. I remember many times when the scripture would come to me. It is as though Jesus was talking to me, but the Holy Spirit was taking Jesus's words and reminding me of what He had said.

It is essential that we build our relationship with God from His word; we must frame our mindset and heart on how God speaks. Let the Holy Spirit expand your understanding by bringing to your remembrance those things Jesus said.

THE HOLY SPIRIT LEADS YOU INTO ALL TRUTH
But when the Helper comes, Whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth Who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. John 15:26

The second verse is John 15:26, where Jesus expressed that when the Helper came, the Spirit of truth which proceeds from the Father, He would testify of Him. Another attribute of the Holy Spirit is that He is the Spirit of truth. Jesus says in John 16:13 that the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth. He's the Spirit of truth, Who will lead you into truth.

It's crucial that when the Holy Spirit speaks, when God speaks, you know that it's truth; it's not just facts. Facts are something that can be observed, such as science. Science is observation, so theories change as scientists get updates and understanding. A person might observe something, then create science based on that observation. But then, as they investigate, they learn more, and it's revised. So you have different revisions to the facts as they obtain more information. However, you can't do that with God. It's not just observation.

GOD'S WORD IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH
The truths that are written in God's Word are absolute.
• What satan is after in your life is absolute truth. He doesn't want you to believe that anything is written in stone about God or yourself. The enemy hopes you will always be floating, oscillating, and uncertain. For example, he wants you to waver, thinking God might heal or He might not.

• Yet it says in Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24 by Jesus' stripes that He took on His back, we are healed. That's in stone; it is absolute truth. God is always healing and never makes people sick. He wants people to be well and desires to heal you.

• However, in this broken world, some people seem to receive interventions in their health, finances, and freedom from demonic oppression, while others do not.

• The absolute truth is that Jesus established His authority, ratified the new covenant for us, then went and sat at the right hand of God, period. He has done everything He will do about our salvation and the covenant (Hebrews 7:22).

• Now the Holy Spirit is here to help us to implement that covenant; He helps make it real to us by presenting us with truth, which is not an opinion or a fact. It's absolute and established by God.

• When God speaks something, it's established forever (Psalm 119:89). He does not change. Jesus went around doing good and healing everyone, which was a precedent. And it says that everyone who came to Him for healing received healing. He never turned anybody away. You got to remember that.
So the Holy Spirit speaks truth, and that truth doesn't change. He will testify of Jesus, which means He will always bring forth what Jesus said. And Jesus said, if you believe, nothing shall be impossible to you (Mark 9:23). The Holy Spirit will bring forth truth, which is higher than facts or observation. When God speaks, it may look like the opposite is happening for a while, but His word is still true.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE SPIRIT OF REALITY
However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
John 16:13

The third verse we will study is John 16:13, which states that when the Spirit of truth has come, as previously mentioned, He will guide you into all truth, speaking only what He hears from the Father. He will also reveal the future.

Let's expand this verse and go through it carefully because it reveals a deeper level of truth. When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you in all truth. Jesus is calling the Holy Spirit the Spirit of truth; His job is leading you into all truth. If the Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth, the common factor here is truth. If you study the word "truth" in Greek, you will find that it means "reality. " So, in other words, when the Spirit of reality comes, He will lead you into all reality.

When people say they want to know the truth, they want to see the reality of what's happening. I want to know the real deal. When I got saved, I told the Lord I wanted what was real. I told Him, "I want to walk with God like the people in the Bible did, and I will give my life to you." I was born again and received my salvation in my room at home. I didn't do it in the church because they didn't even believe in the born-again experience in the church I attended at the time. Then I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in my car on the way to work, not in church.

When the Spirit of truth comes, He will lead us into all reality, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be in a church building; it will be wherever it's needed. Jesus ministered to people in the fields, not the synagogue. He got kicked out of the synagogue, which was the equivalent of getting kicked out of the church.

THE HOLY SPIRIT SPEAKS ONLY THE FATHER'S WORDS
When the Holy Spirit speaks, it will not be on His own authority. What does that mean? Well, it's the same idea, and I want you to discuss this because they honor each other in authority. Likewise, Jesus was sent by the Father and ministered under the power of the Spirit. He said that He did not speak anything on His own, but only what the Father was saying, and that He only did the works of His Father (John 12:49-50, John 5:19). So He didn't speak on his own, even though He could have. There was a hand-off of authority where Jesus submitted to the Father and only spoke what He was saying. He listened to the Father, then spoke what He heard and did only what He saw what the Father was doing. Jesus healed, cast out devils, and did everything the Father told him to do.

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would come, but He would not speak on his own. Essentially, He said, "He's going to be One just like Me" because the Spirit will not speak on His own. Even though the Spirit of God is God, He submits to the Father, so He does not speak on his own authority; He will speak whatever He hears. When the Spirit speaks to you, He's repeating what the Father is saying to you; that's the absolute truth.

MINISTER UNDER GOD'S AUTHORITY, NOT YOUR OWN
When Jesus spoke to people, He repeated what the Father was saying to them. When He preached, it was not on His own authority. And when the Spirit comes, it's not on His authority, but the authority of the Father. So when the Holy Spirit is ministering through you, it is because the Father has sent Him to speak certain words through you. You are speaking on behalf of the Father. No one should minister in their own authority.

When I minister, I do not come on my own authority. Even as we have this discussion, I come to you in the name of Jesus, sent by the Father. Concerning the words I speak, I'm making sure that I have Scripture verses before me, teaching you so that you can share this with others. As Jesus only said what He heard the Father speak, when we speak by the Spirit, we're speaking the words of the Father. It's also to remember that the Holy Spirit will tell you of things to come. He will reveal future events to you, as it says in John 16:13. This deals with prophecy; the Lord can speak things and tell you what He wants to happen in the future.

PRAYER:
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for my family all over the world. Thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling within us. We ask that You come upon every fellowship right now. Wrap Your loving arms around everyone, Father. Let us know the Holy Spirit in a greater way. I pray for everybody's finances to be restored. I break the spirit of poverty off their lives. I break sickness and all demonic oppression off of my family right now, in the name of Jesus. By the power of the blood of Jesus, I command every evil spirit to stop harassing our family and leave now. Thank you, Father, for bringing deliverance to each home. Thank You, Lord, for health, healing, and supernaturally providing all the necessary finances. And thank You, most of all, that the Holy Spirit will bring revelation so that we can know You more, Father. In the name of Jesus, amen.
