Breaking the Cycle of Rejection

As Christians, we no longer have to succumb to demonic influence; we must break their cycles and forbid them from pushing our buttons anymore.

DISCUSSION:
In this session we will discuss the importance of breaking cycles of rejection. Throughout your life, the enemy develops a way to get you to respond through a cycle of rejection. In other words, these evil spirits design a way to get you to react a certain way so that you feel like a victim all the time. These evil spirits influence certain events in your life to set you up for failure. My heart is to accelerate your deliverance from the onslaught of the enemy in this area.

DO NOT ALLOW THE ENEMY TO PUSH YOUR BUTTONS
The enemy essentially develops a button in a person's life, which he pushes to throw them into a tailspin. It's best that you lose these buttons that the devil has been pushing, where he's developed a cycle of rejection.

I realized that I was in this cycle, which would happen on cue each month. Every month something would happen which would put me into a tailspin. I had been to Heaven, seen Jesus, and had all these wonderful things happen to me, but still felt like I was taking things wrong. I realized that it was familiar spirits working on trying to build a case against me. I discovered that I must not let my buttons be pushed anymore.

Rejection is a crucial subject to discuss because the enemy attacks everyone in this area. I want you just to concentrate on what buttons the enemy pushes in your life. We all have familiar spirits assigned to our bloodlines and have been transferred down, which try to develop a case against us.

Just make sure you ask empowered by confident faith without doubting that you will receive. For the ambivalent person believes one minute and doubts the next. Being undecided makes you become like the rough seas driven and tossed by the wind. You're up one minute and tossed down the next.

James 1:6 said to make sure you ask, empowered by confident faith, without doubt, so that you will receive. Being undecided makes you become like the rough seas driven and tossed by the wind. The verse says that a double-minded person is up one minute, and then tossed down the next minute, which is the idea of oscillating. One minute you can be excited and encouraged, and the next, you find yourself doubting.

I remember hearing something encouraging, or God would speak to me, and then it wasn't long before the devil would trip me up, and I doubted it. James 1:6 states that you should be confident in your faith to the point where you receive the promise and stick with it even if you haven't seen it happen yet. You must receive it in your heart, remain consistent, and not become undecided, oscillating back and forth.

When I first got saved, I wavered back and forth because the enemy was attacking me, and I didn't understand everything I do now. At the time, the people in my church didn't know either, so it was as if we were all stuck in a raft together, being tossed around. Ironically, one of the assistant pastors gave me a book on Faith that Oral Robbers had written. I remember learning that we could be stable amidst the waves of life. The book talked about speaking to your storm and was very encouraging.
This came at a time when my church leadership couldn't help me, though they did the best they could.

The war we are in has to do with the fact that there are three different realms of human makeup.

• We are comprised of spirit, soul, and body.

• The adversary, satan, and the demonic realm can influence all three if we're not born again.

• However, once we're born again, the enemy can only influence the body and the soul.

• Once born again, our spirits are powerful in the Lord; they just need to be fortified.

• Yet the devil can still access your mind, will, and emotions, which is your soul.

• Demonic influence can cause you to oscillate, doubt and hesitate, all of which have to do with emotions, not pure faith.   

FAITH IS OF THE HEART
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
—Romans 10:10

Faith is of the heart and not of the head. You can doubt in your head, yet believe in your heart, and still receive. This is not being taught; however, it is the actual case. We are instructed to believe with our hearts that what you say with your mouth shall happen, and it shall be done for us. It doesn't say believe in your head and say it with your mouth.

What happened with the Word of Faith Movement's teaching "having confession gains possession?" This was the belief that people gained possessions through confession.

People started to say things repeatedly, thinking that they might slip into faith through repetition. There is an element of truth, but it was over-emphasized to the point it became a false doctrine.

Jesus said that faith in His Word has to go into your heart. I would rather you just pray and meditate on the word of God until it gets into your heart and then say it from there rather than "confessing to possess." The Word of Faith doctrine is a carnal way of gaining possessions, even though there is a grain of truth; eventually, if you say something long enough, you'll start to hear it and believe it. I get all that, but the bottom line is that the Scripture says that pure faith is of the heart; it aligns with God's will, not carnal desires. So even if you doubt in your head, if you stay down in your heart and speak from there, you will receive from God. When satan comes to push your buttons, it is a feeling or a thought that causes you to doubt or to go in the wrong direction.

EXPOSING THE ENEMY'S TACTICS

Interestingly, when I talk to people, asking what happened to them, many have responded that they thought I was thinking or doing something that I never said or did. This happened many times, especially when I worked for the airlines as a manager. As a flight supervisor, I had to deal with all kinds of situations, not just with passengers, but with the crew. I was surprised when somebody thought or felt something that, once investigated, turned out not to be the truth. Yet it seemed real to them. I believe that that's what familiar spirits do. They get a situation to look so real that you react to it and receive it as truth, even though the whole thing was a ploy of the enemy.

The way your buttons get pushed is that the enemy gets you into a cycle of thinking something that's absolutely not true. I saw on the other side that it was a familiar spirit involved in trying to convince you that you were a particular way or a certain person that you weren't. They made it seem like everybody around you thought that and manipulated situations to where it looked like this case was against you in whatever way. The goal of the demonic is to push your buttons so that you actually end up acting out. That's what the devil wanted the whole time; he was pressuring you and making you feel bad.

People get hooked on addictions and have vices because of self-hatred. Because they do not love themselves as God loves them, they allow the devil to make them think and feel things that aren't true. Then from their thoughts, they experience it in their body. The thoughts of a human being impact their body. After a while, your body starts to feel, even if it may not be right. That is why we need to rebuke these familiar spirits and break these cycles of rejection.

BREAK DEMONIC CYCLES

In Jesus's time, evil spirits did not want Him to cast them out of the area. When He would confront demons, they would ask, "Have you come to torment us before time?" (Matthew 8:28-29). So we knew that their time had not yet come. And then they would ask not to be sent out of the area (Matthew 8:31). I wanted to know why. When I was shown why I was shocked to see demonic spirits had set up a territorial system in every city and neighborhood. They are working with people to get more people to side with them. They also work against people that are exposing and confronting them. They have people trained in cycles of rejection, violence, and all different manifestations. These spirits keep these demonic cycles going. They influence people to act wickedly through their thoughts and feelings.

I saw that if those evil spirits were removed from a neighborhood or a city, the people would eventually start migrating toward doing good deeds. They would begin behaving correctly if they had godly influence. Evil spirits keep cycles going. Many evil people would change if demons did not influence them. Their behavior results from the spiritual influence they are encountering, yet they don't know it. But as Christians, we should know this.

Jesus even confronted Peter for speaking under satan's influence; however, Peter didn't know what he was saying (Matthew 16:23). Afterwards, Peter did understand. As Christians, we no longer have to succumb to demonic influence; we must break their cycles and forbid them from pushing our buttons anymore. We all need to receive God's love and acceptance, knowing we are not rejected. It's also crucial that we support one another as believers. We should feel comfortable and safe around each other.

PRAYER:

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You that we are delivered from every evil spirit.

I bind and cast out every familiar spirit working in each individual's life, in all my family, all over the world, and in the Warrior Fellowships. I bind these familiar spirits, silence them, and command them to stop their maneuvers against each person in the name of Jesus. I pray, Father, that each of Your children would see this evil working against them and stop it. Lord, break the cycle of rejection. I declare it is broken, in Jesus' name. I command every evil spirit to flee right now. Thank You, Father, that everyone in every fellowship will love each other and that no evil will be working any longer. Thank You, Lord, for removing those buttons that the devil keeps pushing out of everyone's life. Lord, may they know that they are accepted and loved by You, and they're not rejected. I break rejection off of them right now. In Jesus' name, amen.
