o How do we break out of the limitations of this fallen world?
1. In Mark 9:23, Jesus says that all things are possible if you believe. Discuss how this implies that what we need has already been established in the spirit realm.
2. 1 John 4:4 says that we overcome because the One dwelling in us is greater than the enemy in the world. Why is it important to believe the truth above the facts of our experience?
3. What does the enemy do to try to break our momentum in the Spirit? How do we get to a place where we are unstoppable?
4. Why is it important to understand that it doesn't mean we did something wrong when we are afflicted? What does the Lord promise in Psalm 34:19?
5. Isaiah 43:18–19 asks, "Shall we not know it?" According to this, what does that mean concerning the new thing God is doing in our lives?
Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him
who believes."
—Mark 9:23
DISCUSSION:
God has chosen us all in this era to be an effective part of His great plan. I pray that you have ears to hear and eyes to see what the Spirit is saying and doing in these days that we live in. As the Apostle Paul taught throughout the book of Ephesians, the plan and the mystery of the age we are in is that the manifold wisdom of God would be revealed through the church (Ephesians 3:10–12).
The subject that we will discuss this week is that you are unstoppable. Jesus told me to share that you can break out of any limitation; the devil will throw everything he has at you, but if you continue at your pace, you are unstoppable. I think about how Jesus told me, "If you believe, Kevin, nothing shall be impossible to you—nothing." He was quoting from Mark 9:23, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Any limitations you're experiencing are because you must believe, have faith, and attach yourself to the will of God.
GOD DOES NOT SEE ANY LIMITATIONS
Jesus warned that when you experience a breakthrough and start accelerating in the promises of God, the devil will attempt to break your momentum. He will try to stop you, but all things are possible to him that believes. Jesus said to just continue at that pace. So first, you must believe God for the breakout. What I mean by "breakout" is gaining victory over what seems to stop you; it's overcoming procrastination and those hindrances to fulfilling everything in your heart for your life and your family. For example, breakout is pressing past the resistance and implementing God's strategy about getting out of debt, seeing your body healed, or restoring relationships. It's being able to minister to people by the power of the Holy Spirit. These areas seem to have limitations; however, God doesn't see those limitations. He's already provided for you to do the impossible through Him. The limitations have to do with opposition down here.
God said everything is possible if you believe; nothing is impossible. "If you'll believe" means that God has already established what you are believing for. Yet how many of us really experience the impossible becoming possible? We always seem to be faced with limitations. Why? It is because we live in a broken world. Jesus admonishes us to break out of the limitations, gain momentum and keep that pace going. If you stay in there, you will see a miracle. You will be unstoppable.
o How do we break out of the limitations of this fallen world?
THE GREATER ONE IS LIVING IN YOU!
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
—1 John 4:4
You must learn to encourage yourself in the Lord. Sometimes we don't have the encouragement we need from others, so we must encourage ourselves like King David did (1 Samuel 30:6). You can read through the Psalms and see how David encouraged himself in the Lord. The Holy Spirit prompted and aided him in lifting his spirits through this encouragement.
1 John 4:4 says that you are of God and have overcome because He who is in you is greater than he that is in the world. This is a profound scripture verse. If we really grasp this truth, we will experience breakthrough. This happens when a breakout manifests that causes us to build momentum; we eventually get to a pace that the enemy cannot keep up with.
This is why I am sharing this message—you literally are unstoppable. The enemy cannot keep up with you because of the Holy Spirit upon and within you. You are the one who decides to go further. Once you break out, you must stay at that pace; then, the enemy can never catch up. He can no longer influence or stop you. You become unstoppable because of the greater One living in you.
YOU MUST BE CONVINCED OF THE TRUTH
We overcome through the One who overcame the world. The One who overcame the world was Jesus Christ and His Spirit, who is now inside us; the One who overcame the world literally dwells in us. If we are not experiencing this verse, which most of us aren't in its fullness, then according to how it's worded, it's actually our responsibility. Because this is a statement of truth, not just a fact, it cannot ever be altered, no matter what. This means that even your experience cannot alter it. In other words, we don't rely on our experiences to dictate truth. We must meditate on truth and should accept it regardless of whether or not we have encountered its fullness. Truth is not based on experience: experience happens because of truth, so we don't create our own truth based on circumstance.
People get deceived when they wait for an experience without being fully convinced of the truth. That is how the church got into the situation we're in—people have sought experiences over truth. You must first be fully convinced of the truth, and then the experience will happen.
Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
—Isaiah 43:18–19
Isaiah 43:18–19 expresses that God will not move based on the old; He will do something based on the new; it will spring forth. In this verse, the Lord asks if we are perceiving the reality of what He is doing through intuition or a premonition.
The Holy Spirit is causing the breakout to happen before it manifests.
We must emphasize that the Holy Spirit is sent to lead us into all truth, remind us what Jesus said and reveal things to come (John 16:13). Jesus said the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth, so He doesn't change and will never leave us. If we adhere to all these truths, one of the promises is that the Holy Spirit will give us premonitions about things to come. Isaiah 43:18–19 essentially says, "Listen, there's an announcement of something new coming. The old passed away, and something new is about to spring forth. Shall you not know it?" In other words, you should know it if you yield to the Spirit of truth.
If you yield to the Spirit of truth, you surrender to the Spirit of the future. The Holy Spirit is in the past, the now, and the future because there are no time zones, restrictions, or limitations of time and distance in God's realm.
