The title of this week’s message<\/a> says it all. But we have to make sure we are getting the answers. That is, I have to do that speaking for myself. Sometimes when I am a bit worried over issues, the Lord responds with a soft and beautiful memory. But when I give my thoughts space to respond to negative situations, you can bet I get all worked up over the matter. This should not be the response. <\/p>\n

I just heard Kevin Zadai speaking on how this life is a flicker compared to our eternal home. And Paul tells us this life is a light affliction, and we know how Paul suffered for the Faith as well as the early church. And let’s read Paul’s words:<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 4:13-18<\/p>\n

13 And in keeping with what is written: \u201cI believed, therefore I have spoken,\u201d we who have the same spirit of faith also believe and therefore speak, 14 knowing that the One who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in His presence. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is extending to more and more people may overflow in thanksgiving, to the glory of God.<\/p>\n

16 Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that is far beyond comparison<\/strong>. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.<\/strong>
\nBSB<\/p>\n

So God’s love for us gives us the strength to endure<\/a>. Nonetheless, I do find myself getting off track. This is always the work of the enemy. We have a cliche we mention from time to time, “life gets in the way.”<\/em> But it is not life that gets in the way. It is death. It is always the work of the enemy. <\/p>\n

We may look through a glass darkly, but we must look to the light and remember God’s goodness and intention:<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 13: 12,13
\n 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
\nKJV<\/p>\n

The word “charity” is love. The greatest is love. And that is the great commandment. Love God, Love your neighbor. That can be hard to do at times, but we must release our worries, anxiety, fear, pain, anger – hatred, and all else at the foot of the cross. <\/p>\n

The answer is Jesus. The answer is God and knowing His love for you. That is the only way our society will survive physically and spiritually. <\/p>\n

I attended a three-day fast a while ago, and the topic for the fast was for us to forgive and love each other. When we gathered at the church on the third day, the fellowship was so wonderful. I don’t think I experienced fellowship like that ever before or again. This is the way the church should be every Sunday. There were no questions. Just the answer. That answer is God’s love and the way He wants us to love one another. <\/p>\n
