The video<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Q. What does it mean to be sober-minded and vigilant?<\/p>\n

A. We have to remember at times, we are literally in a war zone. Being sober-minded does not only have to do with literally consuming or not consuming alcohol. We have to be on the alert. We have to be prayerful. I find myself listening to praise and worship music on the way to work and on the way home from work is one way to stay in the presence of the Lord. Living in a big city like New York, you don’t know what may come at you, whether it’s a woman’s sparsely dressed or violence. All devices of the enemy distract the Christian on their journey. <\/p>\n

Q1. Well, answering this question, I can mention what was said in the last statement of the answer to the earlier question. All these distractions that come our way. But we have to make sure we are rooted on the solid rock. That our foundation is secure in Christ as we submit to His word. <\/p>\n

I love bringing up the fact that the burning lake of fire is the residence of satan.<\/p>\n

Q1b. We have the authority of Christ, who dwells<\/strong><\/a> within us. We rely upon this authority, and we use His name. As a priest, as the word says, we are to apply the blood. But I have to be vigilant and sober-minded and examine myself closely that I, too, have the mind of Christ and not one that latches on to the things of this world. <\/p>\n

Q2. I’m reminded of the prodigal son who comes home to find his father full of joy to see his son once more and treats him with honor and kindness.<\/p>\n

Remembering that everyone I see is potentially a child of God, and we have the opportunity to share the gospel, I must see as God sees humanity and not through the eyes of flesh.<\/p>\n
