Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week<\/a>.<\/a><\/strong> I urge you to share your comments using the Comment link<\/a><\/strong>. How does that apply to you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your Comment<\/strong><\/a>. Please<\/em>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Kevin gained the Lord’s trust and, through his walk, proved himself to the Lord. He had a relationship with God, not one based on ritualistic behavior, and his heart was truly very close to the Lord. There are many that are saved but are on the outskirts, by the fence or sitting on the fence, as we say, of their salvation and the wonderful thing God has in store for us, which is closer to the Holy of Holies, where we are called to come into it with boldness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And this applies to us as well. The closer we get to God through worship, reading the word, fellowship, and prayer, the more we seek that relationship, and the more we prove our love for God through our walk. And God proves Himself faithful and true in that relationship. He’s always there, but He is waiting for us to take action.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n Q<\/strong>\u00a0) 1\u00a0 Discuss the fact that the great men and women of God of the Bible had a relationship with Him, not just a position.<\/span> Why is the relationship greater than the position?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your Comment<\/strong><\/a>. Please<\/em>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n It always amazes me to hear the words King David spoke and the discussions between Abraham and God in the book of Genesis. How they commune with God, have incredible faith, and build a powerful relationship. If you ever read some of the ancient rabbis before the time of Christ, you would see that they seem to have a powerful relationship, even though the Holy Spirit was not administered within the believers. Yet they knew their God, did great exploits, and had great faith. They had a relationship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n So the position now is created through the Cross, the life, death, and resurrection, and the suffering of Christ. So all can enter the Holy of Holies if they are willing. Some just sit on the fence, and I think we’ve all been there at some point in time, or at least drifted away from the center of that place, the Holy of Holies. God is calling us to a deeper place where we live, move, and have our being inside Him (Acts 17:28). Just as being an employee is one thing and being a son or daughter of the boss is another, so is the difference between position and relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n Q<\/strong> ) 2 Discuss how our obedience to God expedites destiny. How does a relationship with God affect one’s view of obedience?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your Comment<\/strong><\/a>. Please<\/em>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n When God sees that he can trust you through your obedience to His word and the prompting of that holy Spirit inside of you, the things that God put in your book before you were born begin to be revealed as he expediates his calling on your life and at this present time. And with the relationship with God – and we say and we know God is love – our obedience becomes one that changes everything. Without love, we have no direction, and we stand on a slippery slope of indecision and confusion. But with relationship and faith, we stand on a rock and a sure foundation. We are like a tree planted by a river whose roots go down deep and will not be moved.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n Q<\/strong> ) 3 Why is it important to understand that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, according to Hebrews 11:6? How does this truth inspire you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your Comment<\/strong><\/a>. Please<\/em>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n Great faith, even in the face of persecution, produces in us enduring patience and maturity that is required in the calling God has placed on our lives. And He truly does reward us so much so. This truth is our inspiration. I think that experiential love, which overwhelms us from within and gives us understanding and direction, gives us our inspiration. Compassionate love should be our motivation. <\/p>\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n Q<\/strong> ) 4 Discuss the deception of those in Matthew 7:21\u201323 to whom Jesus told to depart from Him. How do we guard ourselves against deception?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your Comment<\/strong><\/a>. Please<\/em>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n You have to understand. We have to understand the intimacy that God desires with us. For God so loved the world – what did He do? He washed our filthy rags, and that description is probably the most despicable thing that you can imagine in the Jewish mindset, that filthy rag, in His very own Son’s precious blood, so that He can love us and get to know who He is and save us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n So this statement “Depart from me…” is not sending people to Gehenna, but we are not used to being seated so close because of our distance throughout our lives, if that’s how we lived. Even if they had the Christianese in their language, they stood far away from truly loving the Lord. This is probably one of the hardest sayings we have in the Bible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n But Jesus is not casting people into hell here, as some would presuppose, because he’s speaking to believers, so the position is established by the Cross. As Dr. Kevin points out in his discussion. So we have to be very careful in how we relate to our Lord and Savior, who loved us so much. He considered equality with God as something not to be worn as a badge of honor, but instead was born in the animals’ feeding trough in a cave, basically homeless at the time<\/p>\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n Q<\/strong> ) 5 What does Dr. Zadai mean by “turning yourself to God?” How does this cultivate a relationship with Him?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your Comment<\/strong><\/a>. Please<\/em>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is the most important thing in our relationship. It’s just being truthful with ourselves and asking for help when you know that’s what you need, and just praying in a relational way to God<\/p>\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n Q )<\/strong> 6 Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Your Comment<\/strong><\/a>. Father, I thank You that in the name of Jesus, You are freeing my family all over the world. Every demon must shut up and leave them now. In Jesus’s name, I break poverty and sickness. I command doubt to go. Lord, I ask that You flood everyone with Your love right now. Father, cause revelation to flow in Jesus’s name. Amen.<\/p>\n\n\n
