Angels On Assignment – Week 41
The video for this blog.
Q. How does this impact you, knowing that God cares so much about your individual life that he would send angels on assignment for you?
A. Well, first and foremost, I have to say it gives me great comfort. I know what we’re up against because the Bible tells us our flesh, the world, and the devil is working against us. But we are the majority because God is for us, and then who can stand against us?
I remember the event within the Bible where an angel killed 185,000 of the Assyrian army in one evening. And how an angel brought the message to Daniel, giving us the incredible prophetic announcements of things to come. I’m glad to know that there are beings down here that are on the Christian’s side and who protect Israel.
When I was a younger Christian, I attended a church. It was just a small congregation. The choir was composed of the pastor’s wife and a man playing the piano. In that meeting, the power of God entered into the atmosphere. First, angelic beings that I could see came in an order filling the sides of the room, then Jesus came into the room went up to a girl whose hand was up in the air in worship. He put His hand on her shoulder when he did; she started calling out Jesus Jesus Jesus! For me, that was confirmation of what I saw was happening. I thought to myself, how much can she possibly stand. I thought it would be too much for her. Then I heard the voice of Jesus say no, I can love her even more.
Q. How can you come in agreement with the angelic by faith?
A. The more we walk in faith, the easier it becomes to avoid obstacles.
I’m teaching children currently. Special needs children. Sometimes it’s challenging to get them to give a simple answer to an arithmetic problem that they already know the solution to. Occasionally, we hold their hands to get them to write what they already know how to write or are learning. We always encourage their effort and their patience too. Because we realize that the difficulty that they go through is much greater than what we are experiencing in the attempt to help them, we continue the effort and encourage them. I guess the analogy here works very well. This is how God deals with us.
The more we walk in faith and obedience, the easier and better we do in this world. God has made it simple for us.
Q1. Discuss Psalms 139, read the verse and discuss the meaning.
A. I love the scripture that talks about how God protects us from our past and goes ahead of us to prepare the way of our future. Well, God knows the end from the beginning.
Micah tells us he is the one from eternity’s past. He is the Ancient of Days. One of my favorite teachers used to say our God doesn’t just have plenty of time on His hands. He is in eternity where time does not exist. He created time. From that perspective, if we can comprehend it, he’s directed all our steps before we ever were able to take the first one. So the best thing I can do is follow as closely as I can to His word His commandments and take action to fulfill the calling he has placed in my heart.
Micah 5:2 (Prophesying the birthplace of the Messiah 700 years before His birth.)
2 But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come forth for Me One to be ruler over Israel— One whose origins are of old, from the days of eternity.

Q2. Discuss how God’s purposes and plans get to be fulfilled for you through the angels.
A. Wow, it is amazing! It’s so good to know we are not alone. His angels are His faithfulness. What an incredible statement. That there are powerful angelic beings that fulfill the purpose God has for our lives! That should encourage us to walk faithfully – believing and working out our salvation as James encourages us to do. But even if we fail on our part, God’s faithfulness does not change.
It reminds me of the Bible verse I use on the “About” link within the website:
John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand.
BSB
I wandered off the beaten path in life. But God is always there. It’s not God who leaves us. It is I who may go off in the wrong direction. And what does the scripture say? The good shepherd leaves the 99 and seeks the lost one! Praise God for that! Even the hairs on our heads are numbered.
God is always making a way. He’s always making a path of safety for those who He loves. He is the way – the only way to the Father.
Q3. Talk about how you are not neglected if you don’t see or encounter an angel.
A. With all that said about His faithfulness and that being His angels doing His will, we should not necessarily look to see angels or a particular angel. Instead, we need to worship our King, do His will, and stay faithful, closely following the path that leads to life.
It reminds me of Revelation, where The angels refuse to receive worship and consider themselves to be fellow servants of God.
Sometimes we want to see a sign, but better than all I think is understanding and comprehending God’s love within your soul, heart, and mind.
Q4. How does our unbelief affect us and others around us spiritually, and what are the ways to establish our faith and get on track? Discuss how Jesus corrected the disciples in their unbelief.
A. Unbelief is the biggest obstacle to the Christian faith. First, we have to have faith in God’s word. Second, we have to follow the two commandments that Jesus gave us as believers, and then we have to walk by faith and by love. Unbelief, speaking the negative things the enemy throws at us, hearing and listening to other people do just that will cause a great deal of distrust in us and those around us. If Jesus was hindered by the unbelief of those in His hometown, I would imagine the angels are affected by our lack of faith as well, and they are God’s faithfulness. Now, what does that do to our ability to follow God?
