Welcome to week 23 of the 2025 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. I urge you to share your comments using the Comment link. Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. See the website Jesus-abc.net and click on the”fellowship” link and then “video” to find the corresponding transcript of this week’s lesson. I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy, but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.

Week 23_2025

Q ) How do you deal with being wrong and then being corrected? Talk about pride and how you overcome it.

Your Comment. Please,

Nobody wants to be wrong. We all have a sense of wanting to do the right thing; we don’t want to be misled, and we don’t want to be misleading others. We want to understand our position with other people, and I’m sure they would like to understand their position with you or with me. Have you ever heard the term breaking the ice? Why is conversation so difficult that it’s like breaking ice? Ice is cold, and you don’t want to deal with it, especially in the winter. So it would seem as if we have a notion that we must protect ourselves from conflict of interest, our personhood, and our views, and we don’t want to be misunderstood. We want conversation and relationships to be on the up and up. So, we have our defense mechanisms kicking in, not necessarily pride, but we want to be correct, and as Dr. Kevin says, we’re in a broken world. We are broken people, but not only that, the scripture goes on to say many incredible things about who we are and where we are seated. Though we are in this world, we are not of it, so how do we mix and match all these emotions? We understand that there’s a greater depth and other realms – another dimension to our existence that is even more apparent once we are born again, born of the Spirit of God and made into that new creation.

And the word says all of nature is groaning-and I think that includes us. I often groan. But I might complain. Am I really seeing things the way God wants me to see them? When I became born again, I needed to figure out how this thing worked. That’s just my nature. I’m a geek; I need to take things apart and examine them under the microscope. And that’s precisely what I did as a child. I became a straight-A student in science as a young boy, though I did not do so well in my other study topics. So I think my defense mechanism is I go too deep into the forest and lose sight of the overall picture. I have to defend myself about being right about the tiniest aspect of the journey when if I took a few steps back, I could see the path going in a different direction, literally, at times.

Q ) Talk about being under God’s authority and being submitted to Him.

Your Comment. Please,

This is where I sometimes get confused. I’m submitting more and more to that small still voice. When I commune with the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and God on a deeper level. I find myself conversing out loud in my living room with God, although there’s no one else in the room besides the Trinity. I think that’s what God wants. He wants us to treat Him as someone we can have a beautiful relationship with and engage in meaningful dialogue with. He definitely guides my hands when I’m working, doing practical things, whether it’s fixing the house, putting some code together for a web page, or putting together a few things to say on YouTube- if God’s not in it, I definitely don’t want to be talking about the kingdom and His promises. And that is how all our lives should be, whether coaching a sports team, mothering a teenager, or moving along in our daily activities.

But God is in the details, and concerned, and even if a sparrow falls to the ground, it does not escape Him. So I have to say, let me follow that still small voice more and more, and see things fall into place and work out where I couldn’t possibly have managed to accomplish what I did, and see it happen right there, right before my eyes.

Q ). How do you respond in situations where you’re not in control?

Your Comment. Please,

I seem to have to rush, do things haphazardly, and then tell myself to slow down—there’s no emergency here—let’s get this done properly. This is good because I’m starting to catch myself rushing off and going off track. I find myself forgetting and then neglecting things’ order and importance. I’ll misunderstand instructions, miss or confuse some information.

Q ) When submitting to God, you’re really submitting control. By submitting to Jesus Christ, you have the best person in control and you’re not going to be manipulated.

Your Comment. Please,

I have to say Dr. Kevin’s bible college has really helped me here. Let me paste the verse Dr. Kevin points out here:

Galatians 6:3:
For if anyone thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

I remember a brother mentioning a verse that says, “We are but flesh.” While the Word tells us who we are in Christ, we are in a fallen body that is groaning, waiting for the day of redemption. So, we must cling to the master and be under the Word, the Holy Spirit, who speaks to our spirit so our souls can prosper. Then the soul (mind, will, and emotions) can follow suit and tell the body to settle down.

Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests. Please pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. Anyone with a suggestion can post a comment, email me, or do both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are in each email I send weekly. Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. Christians should not be given over to situations but should take appropriate actions when the waves rage. God Bless you and keep you! Please respond to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in the video for this week’s home fellowship. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions. Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video, not necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggests. Tell us what God is saying to you. Please share it with us, but first, watch this week’s lesson video or read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.

God Bless, and thank you,

Scott.
