Week 07_2026

Q ) Why was there such a clash between Jesus and the Pharisees?

Your Comment. Please,

The hearts of the Pharisees had become hardened. It’s interesting to consider that whenever Israel turned back to the Law during the era of the judges, the Lord blessed Israel and protected His people.

Eventually, the people turned away. God had to raise up a new judge to rule and do God’s will. I haven’t seen it, but I’m sure there is a study on what happened during those so-called silent years between the last book of the Old Testament and the Gospels. We know what was prophesied in The Book of Daniel, and some Bible translations carry those additional books. Quite remarkable if you do a study on eschatology – the study of the end times, the Book of Daniel brings to light so much of what transpired, even though that error is the so-called silent years.

But there has to be more, because I have to wonder why Israel was so far away, or was it just the way it turned out because of the world’s fallen error at that time? We see satan trying to establish his kingdom through the world’s empires mentioned in the Book of Daniel. We see Rome being the sixth of these ruling empires, and you have to wonder why there wasn’t a judge or a king, such as King David, at that time. But it’s all in God’s sovereignty and perfect will. Perhaps someone could point to a study on this issue in the comments on the blog?

One thing is for sure: everything we have in the Word of God is orchestrated for the benefit of humanity and His Chosen People, Israel. There’s no doubt about that. That is due to His love for each and every single person.

Well, the Pharisees, getting back to the variance in Jesus’s life, personality, and personage as the Messiah, are evident that they had gotten very far from the heart of God’s intent. Not all of them, as we see Nicodemus seeking Jesus out. So the hardness of the heart and the lack of faith caused them to place themselves above the Word. They were blind, as Jesus tells us, “You claim to have sight, but you are blind.” Expresses to us that these individuals had sought self-empowerment, economic wealth, and rulership over the minds of the general population, Israel, God’s people.

John 9: 35-41 BLB
35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him, He said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”
36 He answered and said, “And who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?”
37 Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him, and He is the One speaking with you.”
38 And he was saying, “I believe, Lord.” And he worshiped Him.
39 And Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those not seeing may see, and those seeing may become blind.”
40 Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things, and they said to Him, “Are we also blind?”
41 Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin. But since you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.”

Q ) 1 According to 1 Corinthians 2:10, how does the Holy Spirit reveal the deep things of God to us? Discuss how the deep things of God cause us to participate in supernatural events.

Your Comment. Please,

One thing I can tell you is that as I participate in this study, I receive an impartation of wisdom and understanding from the Lord. It’s as if an angel is whispering God’s truths in my ear for me to expound upon.

Q ) 2 When we are born again, the Holy Spirit lives inside of us. What is His role in our lives? Why is He called the Spirit of Truth?

Your Comment. Please,

All of us have a story here. Every single human being who has said yes that Jesus Christ throughout all of the history of the dispensation of Grace can give a testimony! What is yours? Why do we see a time lag in the answers to our questions?

This is due to many factors. I guess first and foremost, it’s our lack of understanding-we have to study to show ourselves approved, first and foremost, by reading the Word of God, the Bible, and getting all the different aspects of how people’s prayers were answered, and some would seem not to have been answered.

Then there’s the story of Daniel that Dr. Kevin Zadai brings up in his discussion here, which discusses a Time differential between asking and receiving the requests of our prayers. As we can see, there are invisible forces – dark forces that don’t want us to have the revelation God wants to bring to us. It does not have to be the Prince of Persia, as in the case of Daniel receiving a remarkable testimony that we are now watching unfold and gradually come to pass in our modern-day history. But also small requests for wisdom, for healing, or anything that we pray for. The enemy does not want the light of God to shine in the darkness, so we have to remember this and do our best to walk by faith, not by sight. And of course, we have to remember that the Spirit of Truth does not bring death, pain, and suffering in our lives as some Churches have taught, as I have been taught by people proclaiming the Truth. Watch what you hear people say: “Study to show yourself approved.” I had to find out for myself. I could not just take what people were saying about this or that on hearsay. I had to find out that I had to study the Bible. I had to go to Bible College. I wanted to know the intimate things of God. I remember hearing Dr. Missler, a scholar among scholars, say, “Don’t just take my word for it. Be a good Berean and search it out.”

That Spirit of Truth, that Spirit of reality, is that God loves you, and He has a solution for every situation, for every circumstance, taking care of before you or I walk this Earth.

Q ) 3 How did the Pharisees react to Jesus, and why? How have the religious denominations of today gotten off track?

Your Comment. Please,

Any seed of doubt, unbelief, fear, or lack of concern will pave a road we should not travel. It happens to all of us. Each day, we must pray and worship before we begin. I don’t want to be a crowd pleaser. I do not want to appease a congregation’s cultural reference points in a way that makes them supersede the Gospel.

Q ) 4 Discuss how Jesus dealt with the religious spirit when He was on earth. How did Jesus express the Father’s heart to the people through His ministry?

Your Comment. Please,

It is so wonderful to see God in the form of Jesus. We know the heart of the Father because we know Jesus. Jesus had compassion. He did not have blind political ambitions, but only those ambitions that the Father desired. With that said, Jesus is a King, and He rules a monarchy. But He gives His subject a rod of iron to rule and reign with Him on the faithful day.

Q ) 5 Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.

Your Comment. Please,

Prayer:
Father God, I thank you for the gift of salvation you have given us. God, your Holy Spirit, who teaches us all truth and the ways You have ordained for us to live and walk in. We thank You, Father God, for giving us Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; the Alpha and the Omega, who will sit upon the throne of King David for the thousand-year reign of the Messiah. We thank You, God, that You have imparted wisdom and have chosen the foolish things of this world to confine the wise, those who are wise but have no understanding of You and Your kingdom, because they have not accepted reality, Your truth, Your Existence. We pray for those who have not yet come to know You, will, and that they will come to know You in Spirit and Truth. We pray that circumstances will turn about for those who have yet to come to know You and make You their King. We thank you, God, and we pray in Jesus’ name, amen

Prayer Request: If you have a testimony, a healing, or a prayer need, please share it in the comments section below.

Pray with one another and for one another, especially for those with specific needs or prayer requests. Please pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. Anyone with a suggestion can post a comment, email me, or do both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission, such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are included in each weekly email I send. Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but they cannot completely control us. Christians should not be left to situations but should take appropriate action when the waves rage. God bless you and keep you! Please respond to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in this week’s home fellowship video. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions. Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video, not necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggests. Tell us what God is saying to you. Please share it with us, but first, watch this week’s lesson video or read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.

God Bless, and thank you,

Scott.
