Welcome to week 23 of the 2022 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry.

Operating in the Kingdom realm while occupying here on earth can be done. We are all here, and the Kingdom is established in us. How much we rule over is equated to how much we submit to God. When I submit to God, I have so much more control. Reminds of the verse;

Matthew 10:39
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

BSB

There is so much to be said about that verse. As I am writing this, I think this verse is a Gospel. I mean, we can share the Gospel with this verse. We point to John 3:16, but I think we also need to quote Matt 10:39. I sit at a desk and watch a security camera while writing this at 2:30 AM. It’s a Friday night / Saturday morning, and I see strange things people do to attain a sense of belonging and fulfillment.

Oh, how I thank God that the things of this world pose no attraction as they once did in my life. Oh, how God is the ultimate source of peace and joy. Sure we need companionship and fellowship, but we do not need to appease an empty soul with the things of this fallen world. Once you receive the Holy Spirit, you are complete. You cannot be any purer in God’s eyes. Of course, that does not mean we do not need to run that good race, but what gets us into Heaven is the Cross and nothing else.

Humility. I vaguely remember an Indiana Jones movie where Indy had to confiscate the Holy Grail. The message, which was a clue, hinted at being humble. So he ducked as he approached the pedestal where the grail sat, and I believe it was a sword that came swinging out, just missing his head. His predecessors, who were not humble, lost their heads.

That’s how it goes out in the real world. If you are humble, you will catch less flack and get through your week with a bit more peace of mind (keeping your head on your shoulders). Pride attracts conflict.

Proverbs 15:1
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

BSB

Depending on where your head is during your day, you can respond from a position of control instead of defense and avoid an argument. You may find out in the discussion that the situation is easy to resolve or if there even was a situation in the first place.

But a harsh response can bring a reply that may have come from a defensive position you never meant to imply in your discourse, to begin with. (The other person may be losing their head.)

I hope someone has something to say on the topic for this week.

Please share your comments on the blog concerning this topic Dr. Kevin Zadai has given us for this week’s lesson.

God Bless and thank you,
Scott
