 Ask Jesus Anything and He Will Do It

When you invoke the name of Jesus, you are literally bringing God into the situation

If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
—John 14:14

DISCUSSION:
This week I will be talking to you about something that Jesus said, "Ask Me anything, and I will do it." Think about the fact that God has taken off the limitations. We will discuss several scriptures that reveal there are no limitations in God. When I was with Jesus in that heavenly visitation during my operation, I saw that all the scriptures were true. Some were hard to accept because they seemed impossible in the physical realm.

BELIEVE, AND YOU WILL RECEIVE
So when Jesus expressed that if you believe, nothing shall be impossible to you, He actually meant it; there was a point where you could believe that would remove all limitations from your life (Mark 9:23). You could overcome literally anything.

So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
—Mark 11:22-24

You must have faith to receive from the Lord.

• You must believe. If you believe in your heart that what you say with your mouth will come to pass, it will happen.

• Jesus said, when you pray, you should believe that you receive it beforehand, and you shall have it.

• He said to ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened (Matthew 7:7-11, Luke 11:9-13). Period.

• There are no exceptions; there was no explanation other than you will receive what you believe from the Lord.

• When I was with Jesus, I saw that there is a place where there are no limitations.

• No matter the circumstance, you could receive a miracle, but you had to stay in there and trust God.

• I'm not saying it's easy in our world; we all fight doubt and fear. However, I'm telling you that God took the limitations off.

There are some powerful scriptures that we need to face and accept. As a young Christian, I would read certain verses that seemed impossible to me. I would excuse them and think it's because Jesus didn't really mean this. Then I attended churches where the ministers would make me feel better about my wrong decision about a scripture. They would essentially say, "It was for back then, not for now," and "Jesus didn't mean that." This deception robbed me of many years; we are supposed to believe God's word, overcoming doubt and fear. Jesus said, "Ask anything in My name, and I will give it to you."

PRAYER IS A TRANSACTION
And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.
—John 14:13 AMPC

Jesus said in John 14:13 that whatever you ask in His name, He will do it that the Father may be glorified in the Son. In essence, He said, "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it, period." Prayer works like a legal transaction; it is not based on emotions but on your actions. When you use Jesus' name and ask the Father, it's done.

Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of Heaven."
—Matthew 18:2-3

In Heaven, I saw that the concept of prayer as a transaction was so simple that children get it. That's why you had to become like a child to enter God's kingdom. Children will simply believe what you tell them and will do it. They are trained to be polite by asking and saying "please." When I grew up, I was taught etiquette when asking for things, then was rewarded if I said "please" or behaved well. I was trained to do things correctly through the reward system. As children, we were taught that if you're on time, do what you're asked, or clean your room, you will be rewarded.

The kingdom of God is the same way; you can enter if you receive it like a child.

o Discuss how prayer works as a transaction. How do you receive from God as a child?

DO EVERYTHING IN THE NAME OF JESUS
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
—Colossians 3:17

Colossians 3:17 instructs us to speak and do everything in the name of the Lord.

Again, it's a transaction, and we are to give thanks. I saw many people questioning because they don't know God's will and cannot hear His voice. I learned that if you don't know what to do, invoke the name of Jesus. When I would go to work, I went in the name of the Lord Jesus. I would say, "I'm going to work today and will do the will of God because He got me this job. Whether in word or deed, I'm going to do it all in the name of the Lord." I would speak the name of Jesus, understanding that if I go to the Father in His name, I'll have whatever I ask and receive it. That's the transaction. If you don't know the will of God for a particular circumstance, you go in the name of Jesus, just like it says in Colossians 3:17.

When you invoke the name of Jesus, you are literally bringing God into the situation. So whatever it is in word or deed, do it in the name of Jesus. When you do that, then all of a sudden, God's will becomes part of what you're doing. He might tell you, "Stop doing that," or "Don't go there." 

If you invoke Jesus' name in your situation and purpose to do it in His name, you will receive direction and correction; God becomes involved.

That's why you should always do it in the name of Jesus. This is not being taught. Every day and in your prayers, you should be invoking the name of Jesus.  

DEMONS FEAR THE NAME OF JESUS

Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name." And He said to them, "I saw satan fall like lightening from Heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

—Luke 10:17-19

When you go into the devil's territory, you should declare that you are going in the name of Jesus. When you invoke His name, the demons must get out of your way. The truth is that the name of Jesus is so powerful that demons start to tremble in fear, but they don't want you to know that; they want you to be afraid of them. I'm not scared of demons because I saw that they quiver. They are afraid of you because they know they have to listen if you invoke the name of Jesus. They also realize if you're being sent into a territory, there's nothing they can do about it. That's what they know, but they don't want you to know that.

Christians often experience resistance from the enemy, and bad things happen to them. Many do not understand that they must be sent and that they have to invoke the name of Jesus. That means you must invoke His name if you go anywhere, even to buy food to give out to the hungry and help the poor. Even if you go to a store such as Costco or Sam's or whatever store you go to in your country to buy food or supplies in bulk, you invoke the name of Jesus. Then what happens when you go in there? God comes on the scene to do something profound. You go in and experience His favor; you find what you need, buy it, and give it out.

EVERYTHING YOU DO SHOULD BE AN OFFERING

When you give in an offering, you should invoke the name of Jesus. When I present an offering, I am handing it to God in the name of Jesus, and now it's His. I'm not giving it to an individual, even though a person or ministry receives the money. This principle does not just apply to finances; your whole life is an offering. Prayer is an offering. Everything you do should be an offering, and it should be done in the name of Jesus.

You must do everything in the name of Jesus. You should be invoking His name when before you eat or sleep. I pray before I fall asleep, invoking the name of Jesus because I want my spirit to encounter God all night long while resting. I want to have dreams, see the future and hear what God is telling me to do the next day, so I can fulfill everything He has for me. You need to understand that the name of Jesus clears the way for you, so you have favor.

THE NAME OF JESUS PROTECTS YOU

You will see when you get to Heaven that when you invoke the name of Jesus, demonic attacks are blocked and prevented. You will see times when if you had invoked the name of Jesus, certain things wouldn't have happened. You will find out after you get to Heaven. Moving forward, know that when you go somewhere, you must be sent. Then declare, "I'm going forth in the name of Jesus," even when shopping or at the gas station. I never go to a gas station or get out of my car unless I do it with the protection of the Lord. Because we have not been diligent in this area, we see a lot of destruction. Many dire circumstances take place that should not be happening. Why should the devil be able to hit your house with a storm, such as a tornado or a hurricane? Why does it have to happen? It doesn't. You can stop it.

You must always be proactive, not just when bad things are pending. You should continually be operating in the name of Jesus in everything you do. Every ministry trip that you take, everything you do, should be in the name of Jesus. I've seen where a severe storm was pending, and I called out the name of Jesus, and it dissipated. Demonic spirits have to listen to the name of Jesus. You might think it's a natural storm, but it could be demonically charged. The Lord can prevent destruction when we use His name.

At times I would pray over my house and feel led to have people come to inspect it or work on it, where hazards were discovered and disaster prevented. Once, they found open wires in the attic that shouldn't have been like that. There was a fire hazard of which I was unaware. Though I had no visible reason, I sensed the need to have somebody inspect everything to ensure it was safe. I always pray over our cars, house, all our equipment, and everything in the name of Jesus. God is always faithful to send somebody and prevent something harmful from happening.

The name of Jesus is mighty. Going forward, I believe that you will use the name of Jesus more. Then when you get to Heaven, you will see how situations were different because you did that. You're going to see that when you start invoking the name of Jesus, it will change everything.

PRAYER:

Father, thank You for the most powerful name, the name above all names, the name of Jesus. At that name, every knee shall bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. Thank You, Father, that all our family at Warrior Notes all over the world will invoke that name of Jesus in everything they do, whether in word or deed. As Colossian says, we will do everything in the name of Jesus, with thankfulness. Then when we ask You, Father, in the name of Jesus, we will receive our request, that our joy may be full. We're going to receive our answers. We're going to receive whatever we ask for in prayer. Thank You, Lord, for paralyzing the enemy right now. I believe that supernatural miracles take place in all of the fellowships worldwide. Supernatural finances, health, healings, and deliverances will take place. Thank you, Father, that You are with all of us and will send Your angels to help us. In the name of Jesus, amen.

1. According to Colossians 3:17, what can you do if you don't know God's will for a situation? Discuss the importance of doing everything unto God and being thankful.

2. Talk about how invoking the name of Jesus brings God into your situation. Why is it essential to use His name in everything you do?

3. Demons are subject to the name of Jesus and tremble when it is invoked. Why is it important to be proactive in using His name instead of waiting for a problem to arise? 

4. God has literally taken all limits off! Discuss how false teachings rob believers of what God has for them.

5. Think of circumstances where you invoked the name of Jesus, and Heaven intervened on your behalf and share them.
