Welcome to week 9 of the 2023 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. I urge you to share your comments at the Comment link.
Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. See the website Jesus-abc.net and click on the”fellowship” link then “video” to find the corresponding transcript of this week’s lesson.
I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.
Week 09_2023
Qo Discuss what happened on Pentecost when the disciples yielded to the Holy Spirit. What will happen if we yield to Him?
Being drunk in the Spirit. Leaving this place that is not our home and transcending to the higher realms. That is what I call it. Some would start to worry at such descriptions, but we have access to the glory realms.
I attended a Bible college that was conservative in areas of the supernatural. They worried that some church activities were false signs, not signs of the Holy Spirit. While we need to watch for signs that might not be of God, I think our tongue is the greatest menace to the Church – the Body. With it, we bless God and curse our brothers and sisters with the power of the tongue which God has called us to preach Good News. There is a spirit that we need to watch for, and it is the one that sets the whole course of nature on fire, as James, the brother of Jesus, tells us.
We must remember that every knee will bow, and every tongue confesses that Jesus is Lord. We must ensure our tongue follows suit in the here and now, not jesting wickedness and speaking evil of ministries.
I believe I have experienced a bit of haziness at times and that it was due to being drunk in the Spirit. Perhaps this is a place we can pray, preach, and evangelize from.
The first question posed here is answered more fully below.
Q1. The Holy Spirit is the Master of the spirit realm, which means He is the Master of prayer. How does having the Best of the best dwelling in us impact our prayer life? What should our response to the Holy Spirit always be?
Guided. Guidance given to us by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is key to walking in the Kingdom and not in this world, if you know what I mean. If we are not of this world as Jesus has told us, then we must walk in His authority here while we are on the Earth. We cannot escape the death trap of this fallen nature, body, and Mystery Babylon, the harlot system – the world and have victory unless we commit to prayer, reading the Word, and following Jesus as close as possible. That is all given to us by the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, making us the Righteousness of God Himself!
Q2. We, like the disciples in Acts 2, are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be a witness for Jesus. What does this look like in everyday life?
Galatians 5:16
As you yield freely and fully to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life.
TPT
To know that the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead and paved the way for every soul that would receive Jesus would be indwelt with that power is to know we can be witnesses of this resurrected life. The fruit of the Spirit should be evident in our daily walk wherever we may go. The fruit of love, gentleness, kindness, unselfishness, and joy should be visible. Love is one thing that is greater than all this world has to offer, and it cannot be defeated. Walk in Love. Walk in Christ Jesus where we have our being.
Q3. According to Galatians 5:16, as we yield to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, we abandon the cravings of our self-life. Discuss our responsibility to yield in this process. How does this inward process transfer to outward behavior and freedom from worldly vices?
What the enemy has stolen has been returned to those who have Christ – the pearl of great price that exceeds all expectations and worldly riches. The economy of Heaven is the Love of God for humanity. We can walk free from demonic and satanic occult bondage, whatever they may be and wherever they were cultivated.
Q4. What is the difference between self-help or striving to change yourself versus yielding to the Holy Spirit’s transformation? How can you tell the difference?
I’m leaving the rest of the questions for anyone who would like to comment on this blog. You can also comment on the same topics I commented on or any comment made by anyone.
Q5. Romans 2:4 expresses that it is the kindness of God that leads us to repentance. Discuss the difference between doing what’s right because you love Him versus fear of punishment. How does receiving the love of God motivate you to live?
Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.
Please remember to pray for me and all who receive the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai.
If anyone has a suggestion, they can post a comment here, send me an email, or both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are in each email I send weekly.
Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. We should not be given over to situations but, as Christians, take appropriate actions when the waves rage.
God Bless you and keep you!
Give us your response to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in the video for this week’s home fellowship. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions.
Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video and not just necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggest. Tell us what God is saying to you. Share it with us, but first, make sure to watch this week’s lesson video or/and read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.
God Bless, and thank you,
Scott
