Welcome to week 29 of the 2023 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. I urge you to share your comments at the Comment link.
Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. See the website Jesus-abc.net and click on the”fellowship” link then “video” to find the corresponding transcript of this week’s lesson.
I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.
Week 29_2023
Q o Why is the Holy Spirit described as our advocate and counselor?
God is our righteous Judge, and Jesus is pictured as our advocate. His blood speaks from the Mercy Seat in the Heavenly Tabernacle, making us righteous in God’s sight. Propitiation: God’s Righteous Judgement is appeased by the Blood of Jesus.
Q 1. How do demons try to perpetuate curses in families? Discuss how, according to 2 Corinthians 3:17, the Holy Spirit brings liberty.
The Holy Spirit in you breaks the curse of familiar spirits in your bloodline. Any right that an evil spirit has to attack you and your family due to past sins is broken by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. He, the Holy Spirit, presents you blameless before the Lord. Due to your kin (kinsmen); your DNA relations may give the right for demons to attack family members.
Q 2. Discuss the role of the Holy Spirit to the world and to believers, according to John 16:7–15.
The Holy Spirit counters the effect of the fall of Adam and Eve. We become disconnected from the world, our flesh, and the devil. We are a new creation that is no longer bound to sin and death due to God’s Spirit residing within the believer. We have a DNA makeover. We get a new transmission in car mechanic theology. He breaks the bounds of death.
John 16:7-15
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I
depart, I will send Him to you.
8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;
11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He
hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
NKJV
The Holy Spirit brings conviction of His righteous judgements upon the world. No one has an excuse to continue in sin and say we had no witness.
1) Conviction of Sin
2) Conviction of Righteousness
3) Conviction of Judgement
We have to have compassion for the lost. We are the “sent ones”. Time is short.
Q 3. When a nation chooses not to follow God, what does He do? How does God treat His remnant people who choose to yield to Him?
He protects them with His resources. He owns it all. We are not consumed due to His goodness. Christians are in a type of Goshen. We are protected from what is coming upon the Earth. Note the verses below were written before we had the New Covenant. Yet His people know of His tender mercies. How much more should we?
Lamentations 3:21-26
21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
KJV
Q 4. We are not called to fix the church or people. According to this study, who are we called to reach out to, and what should we do to demonstrate the love of God?
Thank God for Dr. Kevin Zadai and his real Spirit-filled commitment to disciple the Body. I have a zeal once again as I did before I started attending church to share the Gospel.
Q 5. How does understanding that the Holy Spirit has no limits encourage you to do the greater works that Jesus called us to do?
We have the authority – the Name of Jesus and we are sent to tell the world about God’s love.
Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.
Please remember to pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai.
If anyone has a suggestion, they can post a comment here, send me an email, or both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are in each email I send weekly.
Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. Christians should not be given over to situations but take appropriate actions when the waves rage.
God Bless you and keep you!
Give us your response to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in the video for this week’s home fellowship. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions.
Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video and not just necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggest. Tell us what God is saying to you. Share it with us, but first, make sure to watch this week’s lesson video or/and read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.
God Bless, and thank you,
Scott
