Welcome to week 48 of the 2023 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. Humility is key to any area of life. Joy, peace, understanding, work, family, play; all components of life are open to those who follow that still small voice.

Q Discuss how Dr. Zadai described his experience with Jesus in the eternal realm.

God is absolutely amazing. If you are a parent or just fond of children, you know what it’s like leaving little surprizes for a child to find and see their joy. We see this around Christmas when children are in awe of the magical deer that can fly and the figure who would bring them gifts on a flying cart. But God has created an entire universe for humanity to explore and delve into with his curiosity. Just as a parent knows their child’s whereabouts, God knows each and every one who has ever lived and loves us as a parent loves a child. God wants to satisfy our needs and wants. Seeking His Kindom, Seeking Him, and in Him, we have all we will ever need in this life!

Q 1) What is the difference between God’s thoughts and His ways, according to Isaiah 55:8?

We are so limited in our capabilities, especially as fallen creatures, that we are. Eph 2:6, which Dr. Kevin quotes in his lesson for this session, puts it plainly: we are like dead men whom God must resurrect through His passion for us. Through His Spirit, we are made alive and keep our paths clear for His purposes.

Q 2) What must our next step be after God reveals His thoughts to us? What is the danger of doing it our own way?

We must believe God has His best wishes for us. He will never forsake us or abandon us. I remember God giving me specific instructions on how to find my way back to the bus depot in Chicago. We had a one-hour layover, and I decided to take photos in the area. Soon, I realized I had lost my way. I heard the Lord give me step-by-step instructions with left and right turns.

I heard a pastor say he was speaking to a bedridden fellow in a hospital, praying and telling him he was healed. He heard the Lord say, “Through the net on the other side.” He went to the other side of the bed, spoke into the man’s other ear, and healed the fellow. Later, he learned the man was deaf in the other ear.

Q 3) What are some of the modes of healing that Jesus used in the Bible?

Jesus cast out devils and used spital and mud, which in that culture was unclean. He waited for Lazarus to die and brought him back to life. He spoke the word and healed the servant.

Q 4) Why is it important to understand that God doesn’t always do things the same way? Why must we listen to God’s instructions when ministering to others?

Q 5) Can you think of a time when you heard God’s will but didn’t wait for Him to show you how to do it? Was there a time when you did wait on the Lord?

This can happen all too quickly. Usually, when we are in a hurry, we lose focus and don’t ask God for guidance.
