Welcome to week 36 of the 2024 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. I urge you to share your comments using the Comment link. Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. See the website Jesus-abc.net and click on the”fellowship” link and then “video” to find the corresponding transcript of this week’s lesson. I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy, but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.

Week 36_2024

Q ) Discuss: What does it mean to keep your word when you give it to someone? How has this study changed how you will be loyal to your commitments?

Your Comment. Please,

Jesus keeps us by His Word. He is His Word made alive! He lives in us and through us and – ‘In him we live and move and have our being’;  as even some of your own poets have said, For we are indeed his offspring. Acts 17:28 ESV.

So, being made in God’s image and having His Holy Spirit indwell us, our words have to be sincere and relate to what we want to say. We must pray and ask God to speak through us to the fallen world and be a light in our time by deed and word.

Q ) Discuss how when God speaks, it doesn’t return to Him void. Explain how God is trustworthy and how He keeps His word.

Your Comment. Please,

God’s words are eternal. They existed before Heaven and Earth were made. He holds all things by the power of His might. All of creation is groaning, waiting for the fulfillment of His Word. We, too, utter words we may not understand but are spoken through us as we commune with the Truth.

Q ) Talk about how we tend to compare God to people who have not kept their word and how we judge God by the things we’ve encountered with people. How has this compromised your faith in people and undermined your faith in God?

Your Comment. Please,

This is sadly true in our churches. We may believe God allows terrible things to happen to us. God uses the good, the bad, and the ugly in this world for His purposes, but He is not the author of pain, suffering, and death. That must be understood. When I came across people who slandered me in church as a young Christian, I believed it was God. If you have abusive parents, you might believe it is God orchestrating the abuse or that their behavior is what God is like. This is not the case. If you run into abusive people in God’s house, you may believe the lie they propose. You will become what they deem you to be. Your accent might bother them. The color of your skin might bother them. They will prejudge you (prejudice) and treat you in your young years in the faith based on the plack that is in their eyes, and you will become what they treat and deem you to be. This is satanism. I heard a pastor say once when people speak evil of you; they satanize you.

But God loves you so much He died in your place on the Cross and has plans to bless and prosper you in His Word.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope. BSB

Q ) Explain how God is trustworthy. If He has said it, He will do it. Discuss how He confirms His word with signs and wonders.

Your Comment. Please,

There are many examples in the Bible we can point out. But we have our own experiences. One woman I saw on TV who was very lonely living in a cold climate felt so alone she could not help but cry when she walked outdoors. She asked God if He loved her. While she walked across the deep snow of winter in an isolated area, she came across a fresh rose lying on top of the snow drifts. To her, it was a sign sent by God Himself. She explained there was no way that rose could have been there. There were no other footprints in the snow.

I was on my way home one day when I heard God tell me to call a friend and tell her God loves her. I called her as soon as possible and told her God told me to tell you that “God Loves You!” She began to cry and say she was asking God if He loved her and was in a moment of despair at the time. God uses ordinary people. We are made in His image, and we have His Word inside of us. We must live in Him and through Him.

Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests. Please pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. Anyone with a suggestion can post a comment here, email me, or both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are in each email I send weekly. Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. Christians should not be given over to situations but take appropriate actions when the waves rage. God Bless you and keep you! Respond to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in the video for this week’s home fellowship. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions. Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video, not necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggests. Tell us what God is saying to you. Share it with us, but first, watch this week’s lesson video or read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.

God Bless, and thank you,

Scott.
