Welcome to week 43 of the 2024 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. Q )In what ways do we resist God’s will, and how is it that God can resist us? How do we resist what the world offers?

Let me just start by saying that we must desire God. I have to say that today, as a male living in a crowded city, it can be difficult. I heard a guest pastor start his sermon by stating, “I don’t know how you guys handle it here.” He was referencing the bigger-than-life posters of women sparsely dressed and women working around practically nude from the waist down.
Resisting the world for a male in these conditions takes a special kind of focus and love for God. Only through the Power of the Holy Spirit can we walk in this world – in the shadow of death, as it were, as this world is passing away. The Bible does address how women should be dressed. And it addresses how we need to be sober-minded and seek the Kingdom of God, leaving all behind. That is how I keep my head clear.
It’s a natural biological function for a man to find women attractive. This function is not perverse in any way. But a man who comes out of the world and into Christ can have some difficulties, as the pastor mentions. So, we must humble ourselves so in Christ we have our being. Then, the attractions of this world that bring death will die, and death is swallowed up in the victory of the New Life we have in Christ.

Revelation 4:8-11 New Century Version (NCV) Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty. He was, he is, and he is coming.” These living creatures give glory, honor, and thanks to the One who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever.
Have you ever climbed a mountain on a hiking trip and had lighting bolts strike it? It’s like being on the skin of a drum while a drummer beats it. As Dr. Kevin says when he refers to the Lord, “The One that lit up the Heavens?”
Revelation 4:10,11 NASB: the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and they will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.”
Q ) Discuss: How you can get into the flow of favor and the grace of God.

We find God’s Grace in His Word, the Bible. We get in the flow of God’s sovereign grace by first accepting Him as our personal Savior. That is one step every person, regardless of who or what they believe, must do. We must agree with what God has done and shown us through His Son Jesus, the Messiah. Pride will resist this incredible gift of grace God offers to anyone who would accept it.
Q ) How do you purposefully walk in humility to bring in God’s grace? What changes will you make individually to remain humble?

Never return a rebuke or negative approach. Resist any reaction to threats unless they must be dealt with. Show the fruits of the Spirit in your daily life.

I find I do not need to defend God. I do not need to argue on points of view of my faith. I don’t need to convenience anyone in an argumentive manner. All I really want to do is share the Love of God given to us in His Gospel message; that is all I ever wanted to do in my Christianity. Is share the love of God as He bestowed on me when I accepted Him to the “Whom So Ever” would be willing to hear in a manner conducive to receiving that message.
Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests. Please pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. Christians should not be given over to situations but take appropriate actions when the waves rage.
