Welcome to week 44 of the 2024 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. I urge you to share your comments using the Comment link. Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. See the website Jesus-abc.net and click on the”fellowship” link and then “video” to find the corresponding transcript of this week’s lesson. I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy, but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.

Week 44_2024

Q ) Talk about the Golden Rule. How well do you follow the Biblical implication of this?

Your Comment. Please,

At first hand, it sounds simple enough to me. But do I really look closely at what is being said here? These words are coming right from Jesus – God. The best we can do is truly regard one another better. There are too many fingers pointing at those around us when we really need to focus on our motives and thoughts. I remember something someone said, “When you point a finger at someone, you have three fingers pointing back at you.” Point your finger at a wall or something and look at your hand so you can see your thumb. Let’s say those three fingers are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Q ) Discuss: God’s reward system of reaping and sowing?

Your Comment. Please,

Have you ever been blessed by giving? I mean, emotionally? The cheerful giver is one that has received a reward, and that reward is also a storehouse in Heaven, which we cannot fathom to any great extent in the here and now. I remember working for low wages, and I tithed from those wages. I had so much joy. How do we measure our joyous occasions? What price do we pay to travel somewhere pleasant? Volunteering at a soup kitchen or a church should bring joy. The love of God has to be working in those places for joy to be present.

Q ) Discuss: Matthew 7:12. In what ways can you implement that in your life?

Your Comment. Please,

Matthew 12:7 BSB

In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the Prophets.

Let’s add some more verses from this chapter so we can look at the context:

Matthew 12:1-6; BSB

1“ Do not judge, or you will be judged. 2 For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3 Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

6 Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

We truly have to way what we do and how we feel about issues. Many of us have stereotypes given to us by our culture. I recently was listening to some regai worship. The music was filled with the Spirit of God. But someone I know criticized the worship. That is very bad, to say the least. We all have to watch we do not fall into that attitude. People have different backgrounds, and there are different worship cultures. God loves His children. Don’t pat yourself on the back when you are critical of other ministries based on what your pastor or group deems as “okay”!

Q ) Discuss: Colossians 3:17 as a representative of Christ and how we have to watch what we say and do. He’s going to reward us for the way we carry ourselves.

Your Comment. Please,

Colossians 3:17 BSB
17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

If I could only remember that! Whatever I do, whatever I say. I used to say to myself as I walked through busy streets, “Jesus, you go first.”. Let us remember our heritage – the name of Jesus and all its blessings. We can only truly thank God through knowing and being in Christ.

Colossians 3:12-15 BSB
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with hearts of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Bear with one another and forgive any complaint you may have against someone else. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfect unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.

Q )  Talk about reaping a harvest and how you can start today. What is God saying to you about this, and how do we come together with God to see this manifest in our lives?

Your Comment. Please,

We reap what we sow. And we should be sowing that love that God has written upon our hearts. We must always remember that we are blessed that blesses those around us. It could be a smile. It could be a helping hand. Each day gives us an opportunity to live in God’s light and goodness.

Q ) Talk about the gifts that God gives. He outdoes what we offer or sacrifice.
Share some examples of that in your life.

Your Comment. Please,

We must always see the goodness of God in our lives. It’s there. That Pearl of Great Price resides inside of us.

Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests. Please pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. Anyone with a suggestion can post a comment here, email me, or both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are in each email I send weekly. Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. Christians should not be given over to situations but take appropriate actions when the waves rage. God Bless you and keep you! Respond to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in the video for this week’s home fellowship. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions. Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video, not necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggests. Tell us what God is saying to you. Share it with us, but first, watch this week’s lesson video or read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.

God Bless, and thank you,

Scott.
