Welcome to week 47 of the 2025 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. I urge you to share your comments using the Comment link. Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. See the website Jesus-abc.net and click on the”fellowship” link and then “video” to find the corresponding transcript of this week’s lesson. I may purposely leave a brief comment so that others can comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy, but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.

Week 47_2025

Q ) 1 How do we respond to the enemy according to what we’ve learned in James 4:7?

Your Comment. Please,

First, we have to humble ourselves – We know what the word of the Lord is for those of us who are seasoned Christians. So we must be in submission to the word that feeds our spirit by the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit, renewing our mind, keeping our body in biblical shape. Then we resist – take physical action in prayer at the command God has given us in His Word, by His strength and not ours, and His authority and His name, and speak.  Our words are very powerful.

Q ) 2 Discuss:  James 4:7, Psalms 44:5, and Luke 10:19.

Your Comment. Please,

James 4:7
We discuss the idea of humbling ourselves, and please add yours – when the devil has you thinking the worst of yourself and others around you – resist – That action word uses the power and authority Christ has given us as we read in His Word right here! The humility, of course, comes first.

Psalm 44:5
There is power in the name of Jesus. The psalmist is acknowledging the truth. It is not that we are just so keen and perfect, but it is by the power of God, and it is nothing of ourselves, but that which God has given us that resides within us. I like the analogy of the ambassador. However, we often hear of police officers who may not be particularly large, but can put their hand up and stop a car traveling down the road. It’s his authority and not by any other means that the car stopped. The driver had to stop because of the authority.

Luke 10:19
God’s words do not return empty, but rather produce results. However, we must see that the prison doors have been opened.  Just being a Christian causes some of these scorpions and snakes to receive a bruise to their head.  But the enemy doesn’t just lie around. he is scheming against us. We have to take the command and power that Christ has placed within us, His authority, His power, and command the devil to release – we have to bind – We have to release our brothers and sisters in our prayers.

Q ) 3 Talk about how Jesus would speak, and it wasn’t always with Dunamis power or any physical manifestation, but the person got healed, and sometimes it wasn’t immediate, but within the hour. It was by His authority.

Your Comment. Please,

Jesus had the authority as the Son of God – I was taught in theology class many years ago that when we ask a question of Jesus, we must ask two questions. Are we speaking of His humanity, or are we speaking of His deity?  Jesus as God on earth had the authority, of course, and He would give the command, and Earth, sea, and sky, and all that is under the Earth, on the Earth or in the heavens, would have to obey sooner or later. I guess another good analogy would be if a police officer told a crowd to disperse – you would see the crowd disperse, but they wouldn’t just disappear on the spot. They would start to leave, they would vacate the area that the police had told them to vacate. If you’re given a summons to appear in court, you are given time to do so according to the date given. I guess these are good analogies.

Q ) 4 Discuss: Jesus spoke by His Spirit to me, and it came to pass. I didn’t have to fast or pray. I just came in agreement with it and spoke it out.

Your Comment. Please,

Jesus’s blood is enough! I often hear Dr Kevin Zadai say this.  The centurion understood this – I’m sure the pagan centurion wasn’t fasting specifically because of his Judean beliefs.  I’m sure he wasn’t going to the synagogue and praying to Yahweh. But the centurion saw Jesus – he saw God, whether he realized it or not – but he did realize that Jesus had the authority and His Word was enough!

Matthew 8:5-13 BSB
When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came and pleaded with Him, 6“Lord, my servant lies at home, paralyzed and in terrible agony.”

7 “I will go and heal him,” Jesus replied.

8 The centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell one to go, and he goes, and another to come, and he comes. I tell my servant to do something, and he does it.”

10 When Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those following Him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! As you have believed, so will it be done for you.” And his servant was healed at that very hour.

Q 5 Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.

Your Comment. Please,

Prayer
Dear Father God, we come in humility before You, first and foremost asking for forgiveness for anything that we are lacking in our walk in this fallen place. I remember Lord hearing a pastor mention we need a foot washing – that we are clean, but that we need a foot washing. So God, we thank You for Your Word and Your power and for showing us Your Son, who showed us Yourself. May we also, in our daily activities, be seen as one who is a follower – a disciple of Christ – Lord, I ask You right now to help us understand that we truly do have the authority. So we walk in the strength You have given us and the authority that You have given us and we tell satan to get behind us – to leave by the authority – the name of Jesus – the blood of Jesus as kings and priests of the most high God we claim victory over our circumstances, over our life, over our finances – and over our thought life that when the enemy comes in – Your Word Lord -God is sufficient.  You give us Your Word – we apply the blood – and speak in the authority in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Pray with one another and for one another, especially for those with specific needs or prayer requests. Please pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. Anyone with a suggestion can post a comment, email me, or do both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission, such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are included in each weekly email I send. Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. Christians should not be given over to situations but should take appropriate actions when the waves rage. God bless you and keep you! Please respond to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in the video for this week’s home fellowship. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions. Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video, not necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggests. Tell us what God is saying to you. Please share it with us, but first, watch this week’s lesson video or read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.

God Bless, and thank you,

Scott.
