I love hearing Kevin express the idea that we believe we must do so many things to have God love us more. We get caught up in doing so many mechanical things we forget about intimacy. Not that fasting and denying the desires of this world are not necessary. They are. But God came in human flesh to show us the love of the Father. He is the only human to have human flesh and not be defiled by the Fall. The Perfect Lamb without blemish.

‘Oh”, How I have to fast and pray more! How much a straighter path I must be own. God is so Good. He keeps us on the path of righteousness. I was reading a book that mentions the altar of Cain and the altar of Able. How my altar has to be more like Abel’s. I have to salt my altar with tears and fasting. But God is always there.

I don’t know if you have been there, but life can make you bitter. That bitterness can defile your altar. Time to purify that altar and give thanks. Sure enough, the message at the church I attend covered the same topic today (Sunday).

Pursuing God’s Kingdom leads one to beautiful places. I cannot tell you how blessed I am in the pursuit of righteousness. The blessings and witnessing opportunities open up one after another. I guess that is His Kingdom come, and His will be done in the spiritual sense. The Freedom I experience in Christ is phenomenal! Returning to my first love, which is serving Him, seeking, and loving Him, brings Him to you.
Amen.

Please share your comments on the blog concerning this topic Dr. Kevin Zadai has given us for this week’s lesson.

God Bless and thank you,
Scott
