Welcome to week 49 of the 2022 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. You can share your comments at the Comment link.

Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. See the Fellowship link on the website that leads to this blog, or click the link above. I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on the blog about their thoughts.

We will start by quoting the first line of text in Dr. Kevin’s transcript of this week’s lesson:

“You can shock the devil by responding correctly.”

I like the idea of shocking the devil. I heard Perry Stone mention he would like to give the devil a swift kick when he gets to the other side.

I would like to kick the devil in the knee myself.

I have a home that is fed by a well. If a well is not used, it can develop odors due to stagnant water. Living waters are springs that run and stay pure. Jesus makes this relationship in a dry climate when referencing the life-giving truth about His mission.

There is a process where you use bleach to “shock” the well. The analogy comes to mind that bleach will bleach whites, making them brighter – whiter. And the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sins and makes us white as snow.

I heard Kevin once say that God will one day amplify Lucifer’s glory – that little leftover before he fell, and this will destroy the devil. My theology teacher at Calvary Chapel said there is just a slight bit of goodness in satan. He mentioned I know most of you will never believe that. But since God created Lucifer, there is some goodness. The two statements here are my paraphrase, and they are similar statements made by Kevin and the theology teacher.

I heard another theologian say that the punishment of those in hell is God’s goodness. Since He is omnipresent, God’s goodness is the torment of those in hell. I would say the depravity of the individual will make his or her torment greater simply due to the contrast between light and darkness. That’s the bleaching effect. That’s my Shocking the Well theology lesson for today.

If you are into apologetics or just want to read an amazing story, check out this link on my other site.

Julian, the Apostate emperor, took for his crest and eagle pierced through the heart by an arrow feathered from his own wing, and as a motto these words..”
Our death flies to us with our own feathers.”

He was killed by a lance in battle, grabbed a handful of his own blood and tossed it into the air, and said,

Thou hast conquered, O Galilean.”

Now let’s not take a theology lesson from an apostate Roman emperor. We cannot accuse Jesus for Julian’s death in battle. Though that is what he seems to do in the last few moments of his life, he did say, “Our death flies to us with our own feathers.” and that is exactly what happened. His ultimate death is the second death when the grapes of wrath are gathered. And this is of his own making.

Let’s address the items Dr. Kevin wants us to discuss:

1. There’s only one offensive weapon, and all the others are defensive. How effective is it when you just show up well-dressed in your armor, wielding that sword? How is it a different kind of battle when you show up with your sword?

2. Discuss: Worship, praising God, and giving testimony will destroy what the devil is doing in your life, the lives around you, and the territory in which you live.

Worshipping is so important. It’s the first thing I do in the morning. During this time of year, I have Christmas worship music playing.
Listen carefully to those old Christmas melodies. They have scriptures being sung in them. Whether you have a pair of headphones or a full entertainment system, have your devotional worship time planned out. Isreal went out to battle, putting the worshipers in the front of the battle line. I think we should do the same.

3. Discuss what it means to have a righteous consciousness versus a sin consciousness. How do we live from a righteous consciousness based on what Christ has done on the cross for us concerning sin?

First and foremost, we must agree in our hearts that God sees us as perfect. We have the righteousness of Christ imputed to us. Another verse says we are the righteousness of God. How do we walk in it? Make it your mana. Take every thought captive. It’s much easier when we have that armor on, and it comes naturally.

4. Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.

Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.

Please remember to pray for me and all who are receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, and do include the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai.

If anyone has a suggestion, they can post a comment here, send me an email, or both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are in each email I send out every week.

Always stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. We should not be given over to situations but, as Christians, take appropriate actions when the waves rage.

God Bless you and keep you!

Give us your response to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in the video for this week’s home fellowship. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions.

Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video and not just necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggest. Tell us what God is saying to you with us for this week’s lesson by watching the video or/and reading the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.

God Bless, and thank you,
Scott
