Week 19_2026
Q ) Discuss the correlation between being sent by God and having authority.
Your Comment. Please,
When you are sent, you are given the means by which to carry out what God has in store for you. He planned this before time began. A little hard to believe. Of course, the timing also depends on our willingness to be in submission. First and foremost, of course, it is God’s authority.
When you are under the authority of a minister, as long as that minister is walking in true correlation with what God has in store for him, he will be able to give you instructions and information that’s truly coming from the only true authority, which is God himself.
I have to mention a story here that comes to my mind. I remember a pastor for whom I was volunteering. I’ve been in the ministry’s audio department. He called me one day and said, “Perhaps you should start writing a blog, a news article for the ministry.” I wasn’t too sure if that was part of my calling. I just felt it was so out of line, but I truly believe God had instructed him to bring that to my attention. That is, I do believe so today. Because here I am doing just that under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Home Fellowship Bible Study. And enjoying it so much and growing in the grace of our Lord.
Every week, I take great joy in answering the questions and doing this study, which builds me up and edifies me. I hope it does so for others. I believe it does so much so. I’m taking the script I wrote and producing YouTube videos from the things I’ve been writing. Some of them are very profound. I realize it’s not me. It’s the Lord. It is He who brings the words I put down on paper. To God be the Glory.
Q ) 1 Describe the connection between Jesus’ submission to the Father and His authority. According to Matthew 28:18-20 and Luke 10:19, how does Jesus’ authority impact our authority as believers?
Your Comment. Please,
Looking at Matthew chapter 28:18-20 and Luke chapter 10 verse 19, we see that we have been given a commission, the ministry of the Church. That is, each and every single person who is under the yoke of salvation has a commission to represent Christ, to be an ambassador for the Kingdom of Heaven. We are under the greatest authority that there could ever be, and that is, the Kingdom of Heaven has decided what your walk will be long before you were born.
Having free will, it is now really up to us to read the Word of God and discern our calling in the specific areas where we are called to minister. It may be a bit bewildering at first, but all of hell knows that you are a child of God and you are there to interfere with the plan of the enemy, whether you understand it or not. This is why they tell you when you first become a Christian that the enemy now knows that there is a new kid in town. This child of God has the authority given to him or her by the King of kings and the Lord of lords. It’s a matter of having faith and assurance in the one Who has sent us.
Q ) 2 What is the difference between spiritual authority and physical power? Who can operate in God’s authority?
Your Comment. Please,
Spiritual authority gives you the ability to traverse grounds that you normally would avoid. When you go, you bring heaven with you when you are in correlation with the Spirit of God indwelling you. You could bring the great commission wherever you go; you could deliver the gospel message in a form and, in some way, bless someone. It doesn’t matter how big or small you are; you can walk in the physical reality of who you are without fear.
Q ) 3 What is the only thing that demons respond to?
Your Comment. Please,
The demons respond to your presence, and that is enough to get them riled up because when you go, you bring the power of heaven within yourself. God Himself resides within you. This world is not our home, but while we are here, we are taking ground back for the kingdom of Heaven. We’re trampling on those scorpions and snakes that are beneath our feet, causing these low-lying devils to respond by moving out of the way before they get stepped on. That is because the authority of Heaven is inside of you. Not only were you made in the image of God, but you have God Himself residing within you, giving you the commandment to go out into the world and make disciples.
Every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, some to everlasting redemption and some to everlasting destruction. Confess Christ to the world.
Q ) 4 Discuss the danger of being blinded by pride in ministry. What causes this to happen?
Your Comment. Please,
I have seen this happen with the ministers at the church I attended. A young minister was just starting out. I can discuss what had happened and what was done, but I would rather not. It’s not good to see someone in a position of authority start to succumb to influences that are not from God, and the consequences that follow. This, of course, includes myself. I don’t leave myself out of the picture because any one time or another, for one reason or another, I can become self-centered, or begin to slip away from the truth, which draws our flesh more and more into control.
It’s not by might or by strength but by my spirit, says the Lord. It is only through the spirit that resides with us and the blood and the name that is above every name that we can accomplish the work that Christ has given us.
Q ) 5 Discuss how to remain humble, keeping ourselves in the grace and favor of God.
Your Comment. Please,
It is so wonderful to be commissioned as we all are and to do what the Lord has called us to do. I have to tell you I should have been doing a great deal more. But starting to find that place and moving into it is what brings the incredible grace and favor of God into your life. Humility is key, especially in this day and age. It was just yesterday that the Lord instructed me to walk in humility to avoid dangerous situations.
Q ) 6 Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.
Your Comment. Please,
Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for my family over the world. Help us, Lord, to humble ourselves under Your mighty hand so that we stay in Your love and never think that Your work is from us. Your grace and love for us are reaching out to people through our lives. Father, make this revelation so real to us. Lord, we ask that You do miracles and intervene in people’s lives as they humble themselves before You. Show us the great authority that we walk in, in the name of Jesus, amen.
Prayer Request: If you have a testimony, a healing, or a prayer need, please share it in the comments section below.
Share with us what God is doing in your life and what your prayer needs are – Comment.
Pray with one another and for one another, especially for those with specific needs or prayer requests. Please pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. Anyone with a suggestion can post a comment, email me, or do both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission, such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and other similar missions are included in each weekly email I send. Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but they cannot completely control us. Christians should not be left to their own devices but should take appropriate action when the waves rage. God bless you and keep you! Please respond to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in this week’s home fellowship video. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions. Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video, not necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggests. Tell us what God is saying to you. Please share it with us, but first, watch this week’s lesson video or read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.
God Bless, and thank you,
Scott.
