Week 22_2026
Q ) Read Deuteronomy 28:1–14 and discuss the conditions to open Heaven and receive the blessings of God. Also, what opens the door to curses?
Your Comment. Please,
Well, the first thing we read in Deuteronomy 28 is that by obedience, our local situation within our community—our city—would receive a blessing. We would receive a personal blessing, and our community would be blessed as well. This blessing will extend to the country in which we live.
We also have to remember that when we hear the word “city” today, we think of a very large community. But this is referencing cities of that era, which were much smaller.
So, you can conclude that from a very local standpoint, to the variance in size of a very large country, by the people obeying individually and corporately—as it is being presented corporately to the people— from whom will come a great nation of priests. Obedience is what will bring blessings upon the people in their government and residential communities.
Blessings on Obedience
Deuteronomy 28: 1-14 NKJV
1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carfully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
3 “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
5 “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
6 “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
7 “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
8 “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
9 “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. 10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. 11 And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
Q ) 1 What would the fulfillment of John 14:15 look like—if Jesus and the Father came to live with us because we love and obey Him?
Your Comment. Please,
This is a very good question. It can only be answered if you truly believe all that we are learning in this particular home fellowship study. What is Dr. Kevin telling us? Why is this question asked? Well, what would it look like if we believed everything that’s been presented to us here? All the promises of Deuteronomy 28:1‑14, all the goodness God has instored for His children, being co‑heirs with Christ —that is Heaven itself. The Son of God Himself dwelling in us, making us more and more into His likeness through our obedience, fellowship, worship, and prayer. What does that all look like once we are gathered together in a community praying for one another, speaking blessings to one another, and over our environment—our cities and our nation? It’s the power of God on earth, as it is in Heaven. God’s will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Q ) 2 Jesus did not do away with the old covenant; He is the fulfillment of it. How did He provide an even better new covenant than the old?
Your Comment. Please,
I have to tell myself-I have to remind myself that I’ve been made in the image of God. I think we all have to say that occasionally. I feel a little selfish for saying that. But I think none of us should. I think if there’s any hesitation or any feeling of selfishness, it is due to a lack of faith in what God has told us in His Word.
I think we create two realities subconsciously due to the fallen realm we are presently walking in. We see the disparity in the beauty of what God presents to us in His Word and the fallen realm all around us. We are continually bombarded by the lies of satan in so many different forms. But God’s Holy Spirit indwelling us speaks of a better promise and a truth that cannot be denied. We all have that truth living within us. We Are All Made in the image of God.
No matter what you may hear, we can never forget that we are more than conquerors. I’m stepping forward and making that a goal and a priority in my walk, in my Christianity, we are told to do so. We must put our faith in the Word of God if we are to be obedient.
Q ) 3 Deuteronomy 28:1–2 and John 14:15 express that obedience is God’s love language. Discuss the difference between legalism and heartfelt obedience to God.
Your Comment. Please,
It is God’s love language that brings us to repentance and obedience; it is not the legalism we find in so many forms today in our religious meetings, wherever they may be. The first step in obedience, if we are truly His children, is to love one another. How do we obey the Word of God? If we cannot minister in a way, I think if we cannot have compassion, we cannot love the way Christ loved; we cannot speak to the world around us.
I recently heard Dr. Kevin mention, and I heard this from other sources as well, that 80% of the people who walk into a church never walk back in one again. Dr. Kevin’s Ministry is to reach out to those people or anyone seeking God, seeking love. Watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees because it will make you twice the son of hell you were before you came into contact with them.
Q ) 4 Discuss the discrepancy that we face in this realm. Why is it important to judge God by His Word instead of what we see?
Your Comment. Please,
This is a great question, right after my response, I think, to the last question. What is in our hearts is truly to follow God and point others in the right direction, but I think our emotions get in our way. I think we are just too overwhelmed by the discrepancy of the beauty of Christ within us, which we experience, and the Fall and its consequences we see all around us, and we become overreactive in trying to correct errors and start behaving like Pharisees without ever knowing the difference. That can happen all too easily. All of us have to repent. We cannot let our emotions be manipulated in either direction.
God is not a manipulator. He wants to guide us with His compassion, which we find in His Word. He has the final word in all situations. For each and every single one of us, what He expects from us. But the enemy, of course, wants to take us off this agenda. The more I repent, the more I find myself not being manipulated by circumstances by the enemy’s tricks and confusion. But I truly have to settle my heart with the piece that only Christ can give. I think we all have to do that in some form at some point or another in our lives, in our week, in our day, in our Christian Walk.
Q ) 5 What is the importance of understanding that God has written a book of destiny for your life according to Psalm 139:16?
Your Comment. Please,
Psalm 139:15-18 NKJV
15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.
What I love about Dr. Kevin Zadai’s teaching is that he really zones in on this reality. That God has called us as prophets, priests, and kings in His Kingdom and expects us to forful our designated ministry before the foundations of the world were created. The angels don’t no failor as far as what God has called you to do.
You may think that this is all too much for you, but it is not. It is completely within your grasp. I know I fall short of the glory of God. But that does not mean God expects me to do less. And that includes you, your spouse, your children, your parents, all of us. And all of us fail in some way, as the enemy does all he can to keep us from accomplishing what God has formed us to perform for His purpose. But truly, we have all been born for such a time as this. It is a great honor to be a worker for the Kingdom. If that is just to raise children as a parent, to be a big brother or sister, or just to share a smile, you are working for the Kingdom.
Q ) 6 Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.
Your Comment. Please,
Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Prayer:
Father, thank You so much for everything You’re doing in all our fellowships all over the world. Move by Your Spirit and help Your people. In Jesus’s name, we rebuke the devourer. We rebuke anything coming against our family, whether through disease, sickness, or weakness in the immune system. We break the power of the devil. We ask You, Lord, for wisdom. Thank You for giving Your people wisdom and understanding on what they take into their bodies, food sources, and everything concerning health. Thank You for helping them with that.
Lord, I ask for Your wisdom for their relationships and healing for their finances. I break the power of the devil and command the money which is earmarked for the work of the Lord to come into their life. I thank You, Lord, that all Your children will prosper and be in good health, even as their souls prosper. I thank You, Father, right now that the blood of Jesus is upon every gathering and each warrior.
ThaWarrior Lord, that the word of God is being spoken all over the earth and that many people are coming into the kingdom. I thank You for a Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You, Father. May the Holy Spirit have His way in each of us in the name of Jesus. Thank You, Lord, for Your resurrection power moving within all our family. Thank You that all our bodies are responding to that healing, resurrection power right now, in the name of Jesus, amen.
Prayer Request: If you have a testimony, a healing, or a prayer need, please share it in the comments section below.
Share with us what God is doing in your life and what your prayer needs are – Comment.
Pray with one another and for one another, especially for those with specific needs or prayer requests. Please pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. Anyone with a suggestion can post a comment, email me, or do both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission, such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and other similar missions are included in each weekly email I send. Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but they cannot completely control us. Christians should not be left to their own devices but should take appropriate action when the waves rage. God bless you and keep you! Please respond to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in this week’s home fellowship video. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions. Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video, not necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggests. Tell us what God is saying to you. Please share it with us, but first, watch this week’s lesson video or read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.
God Bless, and thank you,
Scott.
