Week 34_2026
Q ) Discuss why we may have wrong perceptions of God. How does God want to shift our perspective of who He is?
Your Comment. Please,
I remember, when I started studying at Bible college, hearing ministers like Dr. Kevin speak about the character of God in lectures at Warrior Notes School of Ministry and at other universities before that, saying that God’s character is to do good to us. I think we can all agree with that. We say God is good all the time. We have these cliches we say, but what happens when a dearly beloved one passes on in a tragic way or in an unexpected way, perhaps suddenly? We try to force those words out of our mouths, but should we hold God accountable for the tragedies that occur in our lives?
I believe we do not realize that God is the one holding all life and all things together for the good and purposes of humanity at the expense of His suffering on the Cross. God did not orchestrate the suffering and pain in our lives! He orchestrated the suffering and the death of His own Son on the Cross in the most hideous ways ever devised by humanity. Christ Himself tells us … In this world we will have tribulation. But be of good cheer because He that is Jesus the Messiah has overcome this world!
Yet we do not see all things under His authority, as we read in the Book of Hebrews. So we have to put these pieces together; we can’t just take a piece of a scripture verse, a chapter, or a book out from the rest of the Bible. We have to remember He’s holding things in place so that the lost can be saved, and eventually this fallen place will be eradicated and replaced by a new creation. As of now, we are a New Creation, but we have not yet seen all the fulfillment of what is to be accomplished. That is why we are here: for the sake of our salvation, at the expense of God, the creator of all the universe, who surrenders Himself to the suffering of the Cross to show humanity the importance of what He is doing and how expedient it is for us to accept His sacrifice.
And why? Why didn’t God tell Adam and Eve goodbye and good riddance? Because He is love! It was not God’s choice that Humanity should fall. It was the free will of humanity, the choices we make, that brought about the fall of man and of all he had dominion over.
I remember hearing a story from a pastor about a rock group called The Grateful Dead. An individual from that group got saved during the Jesus movement. The member had a miscarriage. They believed God took their baby because of their past sins. But the pastor who was discussing this story, who had a relationship with these people, told them this is not the case. Let me add: God is not in the business of killing little babies. Remember, satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy. When he lies, he is speaking his own language, as Jesus has told us. Jesus says satan is a murderer from the beginning.
We say things like God is in control – ultimately yes, but as we see, there is pain and suffering all over the world and death. Please remember that God is not orchestrating the horrors we hear about in the newspaper, nor does He cause our personal tragedies. As Paul tells us, we are more than conquerors! He goes on to say, ” Death, where is your sting? While the sting of death may permeate our atmosphere and our lives for a moment, we have to console and remember that this is all temporary and that God is looking to bless us and not curse us.
Q ) 1. When God speaks, it is often the opposite of what you are going through. Discuss what happens supernaturally when He speaks.
Your Comment. Please,
God speaks blessing and peace to us. That is the voice of the Cross. This is what Isaiah told us in the Messianic prophecy in Isaiah 53
Q ) 2. How does God encourage and strengthen us, according to Isaiah 41:10?
Your Comment. Please,
First and foremost, God is with us – thank You!
Once again, that is all due in our day and age as Gentiles grafted in through the Cross.
And who is He? He is our God. And what does He do? He strengthens us and helps us, and He will hold us up with His victorious right now! How was that accomplished? His hands were nailed to the Cross so that we may be set free. The prison doors have been opened, but do we have eyes to see and ears to hear?
Q ) 3. What is the difference between a person’s spirit and soul? Discuss the enemy’s strategy to hijack our soul and how to prevent him from reopening wounds.
Your Comment. Please,
The difference between our spirit and our soul – our soul is our mind, will, and emotions, which need to come under the obedience of the Word of God – once we are born again – we become that New Creation and our spirit now communes with the Holy Spirit and we do our part by fellowshiping, reading the Bible, worshiping, and praying. We take this gift of the Holy Spirit, the lessons we learn, and we take them and tell our mind, will, and emotions to be subjugated under the will of God so that the will of our fallen nature does not control us. We tell our bodies to obey as well. The more you go under the yoke of the Holy Spirit, the more joy and pleasure you will have, and that is everlasting and not something that is fleeting that the world chases after, thinking it has found happiness, but what this world offers is only a delusion. While we are here, we can have the treasures of Heaven by letting His will be done.
Q ) 4. What is the will of God for you concerning prosperity, according to 3 John 1:3? According to this study, what should we desire for others?
Your Comment. Please,
God wants us to be whole and complete. It starts with God’s Holy Spirit indwelling us as we receive Christ as our Savior. Then, with that unspeakable gift that words cannot describe, we learn by that still small voice that comes to us, guiding us in the ways God has ordained for us through His Word. God wants us to prosper in all areas of our life. That is why He came to this Earth to save that which was lost. We have to remember God is in the business of Blessing us while taking the curse upon Himself to set us free.
Q ) 5. What are the three parts of people according to 2 Thessalonians 5:23–24? Discuss how God could speak kindly to us, overriding our thoughts and emotions.
Your Comment. Please,
The enemy comes in like a flood, with voices that speak evil against us and those around us. We must take control of the situation and not heed the voice that is not of God nor His will. Have you received a Word from God when asking a question and felt an exhilaration from the Truth? Have you said things you later felt you shouldn’t have said? I think we all have done that. Those of us who are saved by the Cross of Christ will stand at the Bema Seat of Christ, and we will be judged by our judgment of others. Those are the words of Christ Himself.
Q ) 6. Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.
Your Comment. Please,
Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Prayer:
Thank You, Father, for all my family, all over the world. In Jesus’ name, I pray that You would release financial miracles and that they would each prosper. Lord, bring them to a place where they’re out of debt and have more than enough to help the needs of others. Father, thank You for causing their souls and bodies to be healthy. Thank You, Lord, for whispering beautiful words to each individual and giving them a kiss from Heaven.
You’re speaking words that are kind and bring healing. Thank You, Lord, that people’s bodies are responding to Your word right now and that the gift of healing is in the room where everyone’s gathering. I believe that healing is flowing supernaturally from Heaven. I believe that the angels are coming and correcting the finances and that we will hear about the miracles happening with finances, bodies, and hearts. Thank You, Lord, for healing people’s shattered and broken hearts. Thank you, Father, that we will have testimonies about You whispering to people and causing them to be supernaturally healed and delivered, in Jesus’ name, amen.
Prayer Request: If you have a testimony, a healing, or a prayer need, please share it in the comments section below.
Share with us what God is doing in your life and what your prayer needs are – Comment.
Pray with one another and for one another, especially for those with specific needs or prayer requests. Please pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. Anyone with a suggestion can post a comment, email me, or do both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission, such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? Links to this mission and other similar missions are included in each weekly email I send. Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but they cannot completely control us. Christians should not be left to their own devices but should take appropriate action when the waves rage. God bless you and keep you!
Please respond to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in this week’s home fellowship video. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a comment on Kevin’s suggested questions. Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video, not necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggests. Tell us what God is saying to you. Please share it with us, but first, watch this week’s lesson video and read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.
God Bless, and thank you,
Scott.
