Welcome to week 13 of the 2023 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. I urge you to share your comments at the Comment link.

Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. See the website Jesus-abc.net and click on the”fellowship” link then “video” to find the corresponding transcript of this week’s lesson.

I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.

Week 13_2023

o Discuss the importance of knowing that God takes pleasure in giving you the kingdom and answering your prayers as a co-heir with Christ.

Dr. Kevin is suggesting we read John Chapters 14-17 daily.

Let’s read some verses in John.

John 14:11-14
11 “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.
12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
13 “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.

The NASU is closer to a word-for-word translation as opposed to a thought-for-thought translation. Both styles are very useful, to say the least!

Jesus’ name gives us authority. His name is authoritative and gives us anything we might ask.

Very powerful, but do I have faith to believe it?

John 15:1-11
I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
3 “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
6 “If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.
7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8 “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples.
9 “Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love.
10 “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
11 “These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.

How quickly I wither up when I’m not abiding. I get caught up in webpage design as I create a new page for my other site. I spent hours attempting some creative designs before I finally came up with a style that worked and I liked. Though it’s for ministry, the hours I spent away from my calling left me somewhat dryer.

Here I am again, studying His Word and loving it.

John 15:12-17
12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.
13 “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
14 “You are My friends if you do what I command you.
15 “No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.
16 “You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.
17 “This I command you, that you love one another.

John 16:23-27
“In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.
24 “Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.
25 “These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; an hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but will tell you plainly of the Father.
26 “In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf;
27 for the Father Himself loves you because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father

Q 1. John 15 teaches that if we remain in the Vine, we will bear prayer fruit. How do we remain in the Vine?

Reading the Word, studying the Word, Prayer, Worship.

Q 2. How does the spirit of religion war against believers receiving revelation that God answers prayer?

Religion is dead. The Spirit gives life and gives most abundantly.

Q 3. Jesus said in John 14:14 that if you ask anything in His name, He will do it.
Discuss how He has taken the limits off of prayer.

Using Jesus’ name is power. His name gives us His authority. We pray in Jesus’ authority when we pray in His Name.

Q 4. Dr. Zadai asked, “Why would God tell us to pray if He wasn’t going to answer?” Discuss the reasons why we doubt that God answers prayer. According to this study, what can we do to overcome doubt and increase our faith?

The devil tries to deceive us with doubt and fear. We walk faithfully when we believe in God’s Word. We need to focus on God’s righteousness and goodness if we are going to run that good race.

Q 5. Jesus said in Mark 9:23 that if we believe, nothing will be impossible. Why must we learn to hold on to Jesus’ words and never give up? How can we encourage each other to remain in faith?

Love one another.

Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.

Please remember to pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai.

If anyone has a suggestion, they can post a comment here, send me an email, or both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are in each email I send weekly.

Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. As Christians, we should not be given over to situations but take appropriate actions when the waves rage.

God Bless you and keep you!

Give us your response to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in the video for this week’s home fellowship. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions.

Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video and not just necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggest. Tell us what God is saying to you. Share it with us, but first, make sure to watch this week’s lesson video or/and read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.

God Bless, and thank you,
Scott
