I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.

Week 14_2023

o Discuss how important it is to Father God and Jesus to emphasize the kingdom of God.

The Kingdom. Jesus asked us to pray that the Kingdom would come to the earth as it is in Heaven. I have a literal view of Jesus’ words. Some adhere strictly to the spiritual meaning of the words, but I believe there is a literal meaning also, as scripture states He will rule the nations with a rod of iron from the throne of David for one thousand years.

Luke 11:2-4
2 And He said to them, When you pray, say: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come. Your will be done [held holy and revered] on earth as it is in heaven.

3 Give us daily our bread [kfood for the morrow].

4 And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us [who has offended us or done us wrong]. And bring us not into temptation but rescue us from evil.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

We will be in the Kingdom too. Here on earth for the overcomer ruling and reigning with Him.

The family unit is such a beautiful thing. It’s a picture of the love and nurture we will have in the Kingdom. We can experience that love and family unit in the here and now even if we are separated from our loved ones or do not have a family.

He has overcome; therefore, He can loosen the scroll’s seals and take possession of the earth.

Q 1. Matthew 6:33 says that if we focus on God’s kingdom and His righteousness, our needs will be met abundantly. Why is it important to understand this?

I think I just answered this question.

Q 2. The Jewish leaders expected the Messiah to set up a physical kingdom. Discuss the kingdom of God as a spiritual kingdom and how that impacts our lives.

Jesus, at His first appearing, came to present Himself as the spotless name, genetically pure – non-tainted DNA, for a sacrifice and being fully God and fully man has the legal right to purchase us back to God. For us who believe we are no longer of this world but of the Kingdom Realm in Heaven. And we walk by faith and not by sight. We seek a Heavenly Kingdom not made with hands. Praise God for His goodness and His love!

Q 3. How has the overemphasis on particular topics, such as healing and prosperity, robbed the body of Christ? What should we be focusing on above all else?

Our focus should be on the Kingdom within and the Kingdom coming to the earth. Let me say here quickly that ruling and reigning has to do with overcoming this world, the flesh, and the devil, and the scriptures state we walk on scorpions and snakes and these things shall not harm us. The path of righteousness leads us to a place of great increase. We must avoid the pitfalls of this life. Focus on the eternal kingdom and His peace and all else we desire shall follow. It’s a great principle.

Q 4. Based on this study, briefly discuss what the Scripture teaches about the unfolding of the end times. Why must we have a proper perspective of God’s kingdom?

This is a topic I have studied on several occasions. God’s kingdom is what we must live for. His righteousness, His blessing, His Cross, and His Word. I feel as I write this that His Kingdom is within arm’s reach. That thin veil, perhaps Planck’s Length, divides dimensions and sets God’s order in creation for the purpose of His Salvation of those whom He loves. I believe He is holding all things by the power of His might to save humanity at the expense of His suffering and death on the Cross. God’s Kingdom expands through His Church; His body is nailed to a Cross (The Church.) in humility sharing the Gospel with those who have not found Him.

Q 5. Daniel 12:3 states that God’s wise ones will shine brightly, even though our world is growing darker. What are we called to do to bring this to pass? What supernatural help do we have to aid us?

Walking in His ways. Learning the truth and loving our neighbor. We cannot share God’s love without loving those who perish. We cannot be offended but must seek peace with all people and bring God’s goodness to those who have no concept of His love.

Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.
