Welcome to week 24 of the 2023 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. I urge you to share your comments at the Comment link.

Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. See the website Jesus-abc.net and click on the”fellowship” link then “video” to find the corresponding transcript of this week’s lesson.

I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.

Week 24_2023

Q o What is Jesus saying to you personally? What is He nudging you to do?

Lately, I have to say God’s just been nudging me to be good towards all people. See everyone the way Jesus sees them, and be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in me!

But let me say, well, I can say those words easily. The enemy comes in and tries to put scales before our eyes and hide the calling of God in our lives.

The enemy always tries to paint things from a bleak perspective. Yet we have the light of God shining from within us. The enemy tries to douse that light.

Always see things from God’s point of view and that this is only a light affliction compared to the glory of the kingdom of God that lies before us.

Q 1. According to this study, what are some ways to walk in Luke 10:19 authority?

Showing random acts of love – that’s what I just mentioned in my last statement to the question.

We need more of that, especially today. Our society is so divided on so many different aspects. And unfortunately, I feel it’s true that this is more politically driven than ever. So we find it in the news and on the lips of politicians segregating people even more. It’s unfortunate. The only thing we can do is genuinely do our best to show acts of love and kindness toward one another.

The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. Jesus came to give life and life more abundantly. It’s part of the great commission. By sharing love, we are sharing Christ, and we can do that through any open door we create through our behavior.

Q 2. Acts 5:29 states that we should obey God rather than people who are going against His will. Discuss the importance of overcoming fear of people’s opinions and circumstances as it relates to immediate obedience.

Well, I have to say there was a time when the Lord did speak to me and tell me to give away a watch. I was telling myself that God never spoke to me and told me to give away a watch. Now I have several watches. I love collecting watches. Nothing expensive. My resources are limited. And I am a good bargain hunter. So I get great deals on these novelty watches. Nonetheless, I did feel a nudge to give away a watch to a young boy, and I realized the error and not doing just that. I have to say it was the Lord. Now this nudging’s happened more than once, and I obeyed it on other occasions, but I didn’t know it was the Lord until I just read Dr. Kevin’s discourse here. I have to say it must have been the Lord.
It may be awkward, and maybe over the top from another perspective. But when God tells you to do something it’s for a good reason. I could only imagine each time that boy looked at that watch he will remember the man who believed in Jesus.

Q 3. According to 1 Corinthians 14:2, when we pray in the Spirit, we are praying out mysteries. Why is praying in tongues an essential key to cultivating intimacy with the Lord and obeying Him?

Because the spirit knows what we need and connects intimately in a way that we cannot even voice or understand on the surface. They are deep things within us that God knows need to be resolved. God knows all of the unsaid prayers that need to be answered – circumstances and perspectives that need to be corrected. By praying in the spirit, we open ourselves up to this communication. Like a good surgeon, the Lord opens up the deepest recesses of our souls and minds, bringing forth things we cannot even begin to conscious

Q 4. Discuss 1 Samuel 15:22, which states that obedience is better than sacrifice. Why is it so essential to understand this revelation?

We must come to grips with the fact that God wants us to obey His Word and not just perform a religious service. He wants our obedience. He wants to communicate with us intimately and bring our petitions to Him. He is not an unjust judge but a righteous judge, first and foremost wanting to know us intimately. And He wants us to love one another.

Q 5. How will the Father know that He can trust you, and what happens when He does?

When you listen to the Lord, He will give you more and more responsibility – more instructions. And you will be led into the abundant life.

Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.

Please remember to pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai.

If anyone has a suggestion, they can post a comment here, send me an email, or both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are in each email I send weekly.

Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. Christians should not be given over to situations but take appropriate actions when the waves rage.

God Bless you and keep you!

Give us your response to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in the video for this week’s home fellowship. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions.

Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video and not just necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggest. Tell us what God is saying to you. Share it with us, but first, make sure to watch this week’s lesson video or/and read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.

God Bless, and thank you,
Scott
