Welcome to week 38 of the 2023 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. I urge you to share your comments at the Comment link. Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. See the website Jesus-abc.net and click on the”fellowship” link and then “video” to find the corresponding transcript of this week’s lesson. I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy, but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.

Week 38_2023

Q o Discuss the difference between hearing and experiencing the word of God. Your Comment. Please

We want the word to take root and for that seed to bring life and living water from within our being. I’m reminded of the Book of Revelation, where the Church is addressed to those who have ears to hear. I would say having ears to hear is the experiential aspect Dr. Kevin is referring to. We cannot experience God’s Word and not be changed. It will soften the hard heart, and the heart that will not accept it hardends.

Q 1) According to this study, how does the Holy Spirit help to implement God’s word in our lives? What is our responsibility? Your Comment. Please

The Holy Spirit brings life-bearing seed – God’s Word – living and implemented through the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus the Messiah. His Word is made alive by the Holy Spirit’s impartation and our heart’s willingness to accept its truth, first and foremost, God Himself as our Savior. I believe we have to walk in our calling in order to experience the Word made alive within us. God’s Word quickens our souls, but our action bears the fruit of that Word.

Q 2) Discuss the difference between being born-again in your spirit versus your soul being saved. According to James 1:16–25, how does the word of God impact our souls? Your Comment. Please

Our spirits become born again through the work of Jesus and the Cross. It is called “positional”. We cannot add to the work that only God can perform, and neither can we weaken the work of God’s hand.

On the other hand, our soul needs transformation based on our will to obey and follow the Holy Spirit’s instructing us along with the Bible’s instructions. God’s Word must be experienced in our actions/lives as He instructs us day to day, moment by moment at times.

Q 3) Matthew 7:24–27 describes two men, one who built his house on the rock and the other on the sand. Discuss the message of this parable and how it applies to your life. Your Comment. Please

Building upon the Word of God, our society must live by the Word of God. The turmoil we see here in the USA is due to a society that has turned a deaf ear to the voice of God. Our sins, the flesh exalted, bring death and bloodshed. We are weakened individually by sin and as a whole as laws are passed to call evil good and good evil.

On the other hand, a nation whose builder and maker is God stands firm and cannot be moved like a tree planted by a river.

Jeremiah 17:5-8

5 is what the LORD says: “Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans, who rely on human strength and turn their hearts away from the LORD.

6 They are like stunted shrubs in the desert, with no hope for the future. They will live in the barren wilderness, in an uninhabited salty land.

7 “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.

8 They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

NLT

Q 4) Why is it important to establish constant fellowship among believers for the days ahead? How can your actions preach the gospel as an individual and group? Your Comment. Please

We need to be united as a body of believers. The world needs to see a group of people living for Him and united in His love, and we need one another to succeed in our calling. Jesus prayed that we would be one.

Q 5) What would you look like if you would actually experience everything you read from the Bible? What would your life be like? Your Comment. Please

It would be revival and powerful. We would have the Holy Spirit’s fire emitting from within us, and it would be contagious.

Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests. Please remember to pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. If anyone has a suggestion, they can post a comment here, send me an email, or both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? The links for this mission and others like it are in each email I send weekly. Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but circumstances cannot take complete control of us. Christians should not be given over to situations but take appropriate actions when the waves rage. God Bless you and keep you! Give us your response to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in the video for this week’s home fellowship. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a Comment on Kevin’s suggested questions. Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video and not just necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggests. Tell us what God is saying to you. Share it with us, but first, make sure to watch this week’s lesson video or read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.

God Bless, and thank you,

Scott.
