Welcome to week 39 of the 2023 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. I urge you to share your comments at the Comment link. Dr. Kevin Zadai’s suggested exercises are listed below. I’ve added my comments here to start the session exercises. I may purposely leave a short comment so others might comment on Dr. Kevin’s exercises on the blog. Your comment can be lengthy but stay on topic. You can comment on these questions or anything that strikes you in Dr. Kevin’s discussion. It does not matter if five people have already commented on the same topic/question. You have something to share and do not know whose life you will affect.

Q o Discuss the difference between the right and wrong ways of giving. Your Comment. Please

We cannot give out of an obligation to what we are uncomfortable with. Do not do it if you are made to feel as if you are giving to a cause you do not think you should support. Find a responsible charity you can trust and feel led by the Spirit of God to support. 

Q 1) 1. Discuss what 2 Corinthians 9:7 means when it says God loves hilarious generosity. Your Comment. Please,

You have to feel the love of God indwelling you when you give. I heard one person mock this verse who did not know the Lord or His Word. We need to be filled with the joy of the Spirit when led to give. It should be due to His prompting of Joy that we support and share our finances. It might be our time that we offer. It might be ourselves. It does not necessarily mean we have to give financially.

Q 2) How has the manipulation of offerings caused believers to have a wrong perspective concerning tithes and offerings? Why is it important to address this? Your Comment. Please,

satan wants to rule over you, and his attack is upon your mind and body. As believers, we have the power to withstand the devil and trample on scorpions and snakes. I like that verse. As the Body of Christ, we walk upon the powers of darkness as Christ’s enemies become His footstool. Our giving needs to be infused with love, and we need to have a Kingdom perspective. Manipulation is a tool the devil uses. It should not be within the Church.

Q 3) How was the Apostle Paul an example to the church, according to Acts 20:35? Why did he say that it was more blessed to give than receive? Your Comment. Please,

It pleases us to give because it is a sign of faith in the Word of God. It is a sign to us and outwardly that we trust in the Word sown so profoundly within us that it must flow out and affect the world around us. Our finances, but most importantly, our love, must affect the world around us. Our faith demands action. We have the title deed to Heaven’s glorious presence, which lies within our hearts. Our giving is a blessed sign of the joy we have and that it cannot be contained. God gave His only Son because He Loved.
The scripture states:
It pleased the Lord to bruise Him.

Now, the Lord does not take pleasure in our pain and hurt. This shows us, as Jesus stated, that there was no other way for humanity to be saved other than He going to the Cross so that God’s joy would be humanity saved. You have such value in God’s eyes that He died in your place, suffering the beatings and the Cross for your sake.
