Your Character Needs to Match Your Mission:
I have to say that the way to build up your character is to walk in your calling. Don’t try to be what other Christians are but find your calling, and then your character will be built up by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 5:3-4
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
NLT

While the enemy wants to douse your light, You have a mission to walk upon them and be more than a conqueror.

There is no doubt we will face difficult times as we progress toward the calling of God in our life. But these experiences should be a stepping stone.

I heard a fellow say, “I wish the scripture states that we won’t see scorpions and snakes instead of walking upon them. But your feet need somewhere to go, and remember they are under your feet. So crush them and don’t let them have access to you. And remember Greater is He Who is in you than he that is in the world.

Romans 8:35-37
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
BSB

1 John 4:4
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because the One in you is greater than the one in the world.

Q. What are the qualities surrounding a person who is ruled by the Spirit of God? And those ruled by the flesh?

I know what it’s like not to walk in your calling as well as to follow the Lord more closely. Do not let the enemy have additional access to your life. We don’t want to stay too far from the Lord, and if anything, we want to walk in His footsteps. If you have ever done any bushwhacking and hiked on marked trails, you may know that the proven path is a much easier route to follow.

Wow! The Holy Spirit as a deposit! God Himself has paid the price that we might be saved! A pearl of Great Price to those who believe in the Son of God! Millions have died to keep that pearl residing in their hearts. One person that comes to mind is (Rachel Scott) who was one of the victims of the Columbine High School shooting. She died for that deposit she held in her heart as a young child. I wonder how many of us can echo her statements?

2 Corinthians 5:1
Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is dismantled, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
BSB

Q. How many times do we bow to circumstances when our character could be developed to say, “No, not on my watch?”

Did you hear that? Did you hear on the video how the enemy tried to sidetrack Dr. Kevin Zadai? How real it all must have seemed and to have a known prophet tell him it was true. But Kevin knew the enemy distracting him from the journey God has placed before him. We must know, too, whether it is from a fellow brother or sister in the Lord or from a dream. The enemy is a liar, and he wants to use Christians more so than anyone else. Remember that the next time you speak of one of the brethren. Always speak of what God can do in a person’s life and not what the devil wants to do.

Where did Abraham walk?

Hebrews 11:8-10
8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, without knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the promised land as a stranger in a foreign country. He lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.

There is a great deal here the group can comment on and perform the recommended study by Dr. Kevin Zadai. Please do so by commenting on the post.

God Bless and thank you,
Scott

  1. We know what our calling g is by spending time with the Lord in prayer, particularly, praying in the spirit. Its through prayer that we develop an intimate relationship with God. Our communion with Him heightens our sensitivity to His voice. As we pray and read the word more, we are sensitized to God’s specific plan for our lives. We can’t accomplish anything for the Lord outside of the Holy Spirit. Therefore , prayer is our lifeline and guidepost to Gods call on our life and developing a Christ-like character. As we mature in the spirit our character lines up with God’s call.
