Q. Why is it dangerous to chase after manifestations? Comment
Our perceptions in this fallen world can be deceived by our fallen bodies, the world, and the devil.
1. Read 1 Corinthians 12:7–11 and discuss the manifestations of the gifts of the Spirit. How are these gifts distributed to individuals? Comment
1 Corinthians 12:7-11
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

I know all of us have witnessed and participated in these gifts. It is by His Holy Spirit that these gifts work through us. We know from scripture satan wants our attention, and he will deceive us in any way he can. So, we should not be seeking a manifestation but instead, follow the Bible’s instructions as to utilizing the gifts of the Spirit.
2. Read Galatians 5:22–23 and discuss the fruit of the Spirit. How do these manifest in our lives? Comment
Through God the Holy Spirit, we have victory: We have the fruit of God’s goodness filling our lives and outpouring to the world around us. A sweet fragrance of grace from the throne of God.
3. What are the two unhealthy extreme perspectives on manifestations that were discussed in this study? Comment

4. Discuss the healthy “middle of the road” biblical perspective that we should have concerning manifestations. What is the key to staying in that place, according to Proverbs 22:4 and James 4:10? Comment
Humility allows the Spirit of God to direct your path. You will be able to hear that still small voice direct you on the path you need to follow.
5. Did Jesus seek demons or manifestations? Discuss the importance of understanding that God initiates visitations and manifestations for a purpose, not indicators of His favor. Comment
