Welcome to week 28 of the 2026 Home Fellowship Bible study under Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Warrior Notes Ministry. Here are my comments and insights on Dr. Kevin’s Home Fellowship Lesson for this week. Q ) What is the difference between the reverential fear of the Lord and ungodly fear?

The reverential fear of the Lord brings us to submission to His Word. The Holy Spirit communicates with our spirit, and our spirit tells our soul- that is, our mind, will, and emotions to fall in line and keep our bodies in check. It brings us to a place of respecting God, admiring, loving, and respecting God and His Word, because it is love spoken and delivered – the law written upon our hearts.

The ungodly fear – what comes to my mind is the wicked servant who was given a talent but hid it by burying it and just walking away and then returning that gift he received with no profit to himself or to the Lord. He was given this gift and did absolutely nothing because he feared God in the wrong way, due to his lack of fellowship with the Lord. He wasn’t cast into hell but was cast distant from the Holy of Holies. The place where God’s light brightens, and there is no darkness; in essence, that place where Dr. Kevin describes the sapphire stones that one can walk upon only by invitation. That beauty and love that goes beyond words and description.

But that unworthy servant, the unprofitable servant, hid himself from God and did absolutely nothing except accept the Lord as his Lord. He had a position with God but did nothing with the gift he was given. That gift of Salvation was just a badge he wore once in a while when it was socially correct.

What are we to do? We are to read the Bible. If you’re a Christian and you’re wondering, “Gosh, I’d want to be unprofitable,” then you must start to read. Read the Gospel of John. If you have a bit of worry that you may be somewhere between that last and the second servant and don’t want to slip into being totally unprofitable, read the Bible. Hear some worship music. Give some time to God. Get away from those shows on TV that draw you away from the things of God and towards the things of this world.

Q ) 1 According to Proverbs 9:10, how does the fear of the Lord coincide with understanding and wisdom?

If you are living, moving, and having your being in Him (Acts 17:28), then you are living in that Reverent Fear of the Lord, and wisdom and understanding will be yours. It will be written upon your heart. It will be a gift you carry within yourself, and that will keep you in a place called Goshen.

While the things of this world come upon those who do not know the Lord, whether they are like the unprofitable servant or a person who has no relation with God whatsoever, they feel the pressure of the enemy without that beautiful yoke of the Lord that is light and easy. Living and having your being in Him, you will have that armor of the Word of God, and the prison door will be open, and you will have eyes to see that is the case. But those who live according to the ways of this world cannot begin to fathom the Love of God and the beauty He brings to the Redeemed.

Q ) 2 Discuss the enemy’s strategy to distract people from the fear of the Lord, even in church. How do we overcome this?

I once heard a pastor say satan spends more time in church than any person. He wants to make his home there to ensure that the people of God are distracted from the fellowship and beauty God is offering His children. To escape this, we must truly avoid offenses, bring our confession before the Lord in humility, and carry no offense. Many times we will see people responding with a fear that is not from God but from the world, from the devil, which he wants to place on humanity, but as the children of God, we need to remember and know better. As Dr. Kevin teaches us here, we need to make love the first and most important aspect of all we do, especially in the Church.

I think this is a good place for me to mention a situation that occurred recently. We had a little group together in a study, not one related here to the Warrior Notes study, and there was no way I could have one individual understand that God is not the one who makes people ill, that the enemy brings disease and he comes to kill, steal, and destroy, and that Jesus has come to give us life, but this concept did not prevail. In their mind, this could not be the case, and then they went on to speak about the Sovereignty of God. I think it is truly a cop-out. The conversation continued on how they developed cancer, and God gave this person cancer to save their children. I tried to tell them that the Lord used that situation for good, that the children drew closer to their parent, and that their relationship with God grew through the difficulties. They had some knowledge of God, but had drifted away from it. God did not give her cancer to save her children. But you could not tell this person anything like that.

The Bible teaches us that Jesus took our sins upon Himself. The ancient sages reading Isaiah 53 would call the person being spoken of there (Jesus) The Sick One. So while Christ took upon Himself our diseases, this line of thinking that God makes you sick to save people is way out of line with what we have in the Bible. God took our sicknesses upon Himself to save us. He did not put them on you to save your loved ones, though they may come to know the Lord through the situation. I hope that is clear. Now, can God make someone sick so that others would draw closer to Him and be saved? Yes He could. But God does not make people sick! We have to understand He died to make us whole. I don’t like anything that sounds so far away from what God’s Word tells us outright.

When we sin against one another, it is not the Sovereignty of God; it is us sinning. I hope we can grasp this. I hope all within the hearing of these words will understand that if I sin or if anyone else sins against a brother or sister, we need to ask God to forgive us and, if possible at all, to talk to one another and ask for forgiveness, not say that it is the Sovereignty of God. I think we hide our sins and call it the Sovereignty of God. I really believe this is something that people cannot grasp. I don’t know why; perhaps it was taught from the pulpit, perhaps it’s just a misunderstanding of what’s there in the Word of God. It’s as if to say, if I caused you to suffer needlessly, it was God and not me. No, my friends. If I sin, if you sin, we have sinned. It was not God’s sovereign plan. But God works all things (because we fail) for good for those who love Him.

Q ) 3 According to this study, what is the difference between head knowledge and understanding a subject?

I go back to that unprofitable servant that we read about in the parable of the talents. He had head knowledge; his mom brought him to church on Sunday – could be any denomination – so he had an understanding. He knew some of the rules, as his mother tried to instill certain moral characteristics from the Bible, but he didn’t have that relationship; he didn’t go into the Holy of Holies and communicate with the lover of his soul. Instead, he stayed outside the boundaries, on the fence of our Christian world, distant from that light of the Holy of Holies, but we are called to enter. The only analogy that I can come to think of, and I’m sure you can think of better ones, is a person who has walked on the moon, sampled moon dust, jumped up and down on the moon, and came back and tried to describe it, and someone who read about it in a book. You can partake of the experience – you could read about fishing and some distant, far-off island, then forget about it for a while, or you can actually go and experience the whole thing yourself.

Q ) 4 In Matthew 22:37–40, Jesus states that all the law hangs on what three things? Discuss what it means to live by the “law of love.”

We find the very same Words in the Old Testament (Jesus is quoting Deuteronomy 6:5), where Jesus quotes and gives us these words. You shall love your God, yourself, your neighbor, with every part of your being, in our current state. So there is to be compassion, first and foremost. Even in the Old Testament, stoning was very rare and usually was avoided according to the Mishna.

Q ) 5 How does having the fear of the Lord affect how you view other people, even those who do wrong?

It helps me walk in peace, to watch my trigger points, to understand the confusion the enemy has put even within the body of Christ, and to know it is not the person but the enemy working behind that individual – circumstance. God’s goodness and graciousness bring us to a place where we can truly live in peace and see that the prison doors have been opened. And we can move, live, and have our being in that place and not in this world, which we are not a part of anymore. Amen.

Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You so much for everything You’re doing in our lives. We submit to You, Holy Spirit. We are in awe and reverence of You, Holy Spirit. May the fear of the Lord come upon us. I pray that we all encounter the understanding and wisdom that is needed in the times that we live. Father, thank You for providing for each of our family members all over the world at Warrior Notes. Cause each person to prosper so they can take care of their bills, provide food for their families, and share with those around them in their neighborhood. Father, I pray that You would prosper them so they can provide for others. Thank You, Lord, for providing and paying their bills. Thank You, Lord, for bringing health, healing, and deliverance to their bodies and households. I declare that the blood of Jesus is upon each of us and that deliverance is coming to everyone. Thank You, Lord, that miracles, signs, and wonders are occurring in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Personal Prayer

God, I just want to ask for forgiveness for each time I’ve evaluated a person, especially a brother or a sister in the Lord, too harshly, too quickly, without understanding first and foremost that we are to love before anything else and to show that love to You by following suit and loving our neighbor. I ask that any of my brothers and sisters reading these words come to a place where they can just lay their hindrance at the foot of the Cross and then bring their sacrifice of worship to You. I take that action myself first because I know that I cannot claim to see so well and that my vision is clear from any obstruction, then cast the first stone, judge so quickly, and not expect to be judged based upon my ability to judge, as Jesus has told us we all will be judged according to how we have judged our neighbor. Oh Lord, give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart filled with Your love. I pray for forgiveness for our trespasses, for the trespasses we have committed, and for putting You first and foremost in our daily lives. Amen
