Week 36_2026

Q ) Why is it dangerous to chase after manifestations?

Your Comment. Please,

Without a solid foundation in the Word of God, we can easily draw conclusions about certain events that may not be from God. For instance, you may think sicknesses come from God; you may think God is punishing you for your sin. It is true that if we sin, we open the door to dark things which can bring a manifestation of evil in one form or another in our lives and in the lives of those around us, but this is not the resolve we should have.

A good, solid Bible foundation is very important; the character of God must not be demeaned by situations and circumstances in our lives. I remember seeing a video of a person who looked at a tree, let their imagination wander, and thought they had a vision. This can happen in many ways, not just in our faith, our Christianity. Another individual was watching lights in the sky and concluded they were UFOs. But not too far from this person’s house, there’s an airport, and lights are always visible in the sky. Not to disclaim the concept of UFOs and what they are and are not, but nonetheless, we can wind up seeing things that we wish to see by creating them in our imagination, or come to ideas and concepts that are not truly biblical within our faith.

Q ) 1. Read 1 Corinthians 12:7–11 and discuss the manifestations of the gifts of the Spirit. How are these gifts distributed to individuals?

Your Comment. Please,

The Body of Christ has many parts. Each human being is created in the image of God. And with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, God manifests His purposes and His will through each and every single individual. And to each one He distributes gifts. The more humble we are as individuals and corporately, the more these gifts will be revealed as we allow that river of life to flow through us—the Holy Spirit, doing the work of the Father, utilizing us—His body.

Q ) 2. Read Galatians 5:22–23 and discuss the fruit of the Spirit. How do these manifest in our lives?

Your Comment. Please,

This is God’s power being revealed as we remain weak and let the Lord be strong in our lives. It is a matter of personal communion with God to worship, read the Bible, meditate on the things of the Lord, and stay clear of the things of this world. I find myself listening lately to music I heard as a teenager, and even before that, in my retirement years, reflecting only on that innocent time period. But hearing those lyrics—some of them are so worldly; though they have no meaning to me as a young person, today they cause a distraction. I would think too much of a distraction at times, depending on what I am to do, particularly in ministry, and not wanting to place a stumbling block before a brother or sister.

I thought I would mention that perhaps others have the same experience, through one form of art or another, that brings back memories but may not be too healthy, depending on the task at hand and how we allow that fruit to manifest and be seen by others in our lives. In this day and age, as our society is on edge, the fruit of the Spirit is necessary each and every single day to avoid calamity.

Q ) 3. What are the two unhealthy extreme perspectives on manifestations that were discussed in this study?

Your Comment. Please,

Some people believe that speaking in tongues, miracles, and other gifts no longer occur, which is obviously not the case. And some people do nothing else but look for a sign. Now, God still gives us signs and performs miracles, but we cannot continually look at everything that happens and keep seeking manifestations. I believe simply because the devil can give us signs as well. The Egyptian magicians turned their staves into living creatures – two serpents. The antichrist will perform signs and seem to have come back from the dead, mimicking the resurrection of Christ.

As I mentioned earlier, I saw a video on YouTube where a person claimed to see an apparition in a tree; they showed the tree, and the woman pointed at it, saying, “Look, it’s right there.” It was just her imagination making something out of the shape of the tree’s branches and trunk that didn’t really exist. And to know for sure, God does use us, speaks through us in tongues, and uses us to perform miracles and various other things mentioned here in our study, as His kingdom is revealed in our day and age.

Q ) 4. Discuss the healthy “middle of the road” biblical perspective that we should have concerning manifestations. What is the key to staying in that place, according to Proverbs 22:4 and James 4:10?

Your Comment. Please,

Personally, what struck me the most is the very end of this lesson Dr. Kevin gave us for this week: that he prayed for someone’s finances and it didn’t happen, and the Lord told him, “You’re not the one to pray for him in this instance, in this circumstance,” and also that the Lord would teach people something by not bringing forth the manifestation that they were hoping for. That teaches me a lot and gives me something to ponder. While the Lord is not the cause of illness, sickness, and death, He does control the gifts by restraining them according to our behavior, the character we need to develop, and our association—our relationship—with the Lord that we must develop.

Q ) 5. Did Jesus seek demons or manifestations? Discuss the importance of understanding that God initiates visitations and manifestations for a purpose, not indicators of His favor.

Your Comment. Please,

That’s an interesting thing to know: Jesus didn’t go about looking for demons or performing miracles, signs, and wonders. He did them because the world, being in its fallen state, would have a reaction to His presence. We should be seeing some of that ourselves, being that we are His body in the world today. So God has a purpose. Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing. He never initiated anything on His own. And He didn’t have to go out and seek demons or wait for a storm to come along specifically just so that He could calm it. It all came after Him because of His holiness and the fallen nature of this world and the demons in it. So God does His miracles for a purpose. That is to bring forth His Kingdom within us and upon the Earth. It’s coming soon!

Q ) 6. Pray with one another and for anyone with specific needs or prayer requests.

Your Comment. Please,

Dr. Kevin Zadai’s Prayer:

Father, thank You so much for the manifestations of the Holy Spirit through the gifts and fruit of the Spirit. But most of all, we thank You for who You are as a Person and for loving us unconditionally. Whether we have manifestations or not, we know that You are faithful and that You’re with us. Thank You, Lord, that You will confirm Your word with signs and wonders following. We will preach Your Word without trying to force a manifestation. Lord, we will not be frustrated when manifestations don’t come; we love You, and we will be more mature than that. Thank You, Lord, that You’re with all of my family all over the world and help everyone to know that they are dearly loved and appreciated, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer Request: If you have a testimony, a healing, or a prayer need, please share it in the comments section below or anywhere you see the word “comment” within the blog.

Share with us what God is doing in your life and what your prayer needs are – Comment.

Pray with one another and for one another, especially for those with specific needs or prayer requests. Please pray for me and everyone receiving the weekly email at Warrior Notes Tribeca, including the ministry team and Dr. Kevin Zadai. Anyone with a suggestion can post a comment, email me, or do both. What can we do as a body to support a local mission, such as the Bowery Mission in NYC? Links to this mission and other similar missions are included in each weekly email I send. Stay in the Lord, and don’t let anything steal your joy. Circumstances come our way, but they cannot completely control us. Christians should not be left to their own devices but should take appropriate action when the waves rage. God bless you and keep you!

Please respond to the questions Dr. Kevin Zadai asks us to discuss in this week’s home fellowship video. In addition, you might want to share your thoughts on any of the questions for the week’s lesson by adding a comment on Kevin’s suggested questions. Share your personal experiences. Comment on any part of the video, not necessarily the questions Dr. Kevin suggests. Tell us what God is saying to you. Please share it with us, but first, watch this week’s lesson video and read the transcript on the Warrior Notes Tribeca website.
